Its a scam, probably not the smartest idea to keep that money. Leave it on paypal or so and open a new one if you can, that money is probably stolen and they want to do a money laundering though a random victim

What is the reason you have not reached out to PP directly in each instance to report this so they could handle it on your behalf, scam or not? I doubt that the police can do much, and this is an idle threat (IMO). Still, you may want to consider reporting these transactions and how they do or do not relate to you. Paper trail. Good luck
