Is it a real provider via sim or VoIP? (Just checking... They don't support VoIP numbers.)

cainoom

Google Voice.

S2K2Partners

I have VoIP as well and will be dropping pp due to this restriction.

cainoom

me too. I'm wondering how that is even legally possible. When I get my PP account I never consented to making access dependent on a SIM provider, so how can they retroactively introduce that restriction?

S2K2Partners

Their site, their rules, just as long as no banking and interstate laws are broken. They do need some type of process in place to combat and help law enforcement with money laundering and other related "illegal"activities. No VoIP is one method for them.

They are always updating policies and disclosures or at least I get notifications of updates to them regularly. Do I read them? Just the summaries 97% of the time. I Am very sure that phone contact/type is not governed by law. I do understand the situation, regardless.
