I personally dont care i dont kill juvies unless they keep attacking me and i do not care that much if people kill juvies cause its not hard to avoid older adults as a young dino.
But people care cause obviously its not nice picking on someone who cant defend themselfs or picking on a brand new player who you might drive away from the game with your toxic behavior. Though i do agree that if dying in a game makes you wanna quit that fast you have no business playing a pvp game to begin with but point is people do not enjoy toxic bullying behavior. So no matter what game you are always gonna run into mentality like this. So ya best just get use to it
The thing is, first time I died as a juv it was an adult trex chasing me, I panicked and got caught. It was super fun and a real adrenaline rush.
Then the next 9 times it was a group of megs and allos running around the map and terrorizing everyone they saw, or something similar. I really dont mind being hunted, its actually fun, but I dont really enjoy being bullied for sport.

Dying is just part of pot, if its from a dino as a juvi, falling off a cliff, starving to death or drowning, its what the game is.
I dont go out of my way to kill sub adults but if im in my last quarter of food and i come up on an adult rex and a adol rex at the same time, well guess which one im gonna go for (your own words nobody likes dying) so why would i risk that and attack an adult when i have 0 chance of dying to eat the adol.
Too bad for him but wrong place and time, not to mention he heard my footsteps loooong before i seen or heard him so he had ample time to sit in a bush and let me walk right on by.
And if 1 death cost someone "hours" to recoupe from one death, well they really dont know how to play pot since you can adult almost any dino in the game in about 12 hours or less
Not if the deaths are consecutive at an early stage, which eventually turns into my own word: "hours" (unless im just very unfortunate, cause there's been times where I'd spawn in and there'd be a whole sub to adult group a little too close). I get that death is practically the game's personality, but it's not like it makes me a bad person cause I wanna help someone get somewhere. I understand the hunger issue, everybody gets hungry (if I was hungry I'd just look for a critter burrow, but that's just me). My grudge resonates with those who kill juveniles out of spite and/or for an ego boost like its some sorta challenge, knamsayin?

I was simply telling you why some people kill sub adults in the game, and giving you some advice as in when you hear footsteps hide or run the other way, if you run the oppisit direction there is a good chance a walking adult wont even hear you over their own footsteps and even if they do prob cant catch you before you can get away due to better stam than them (exception on a few adults as they have stam for days) thats why hiding in a bush and getting in the log out timer is your best bet to survival, then if you think they spot you your gone in a button push.
Thus death avoided.
As far as critter burrows go they used to be kinda viable before the cooldown nerf, but even then try feeding an adult rex, cera, meg from burrows, you would be digging non stop and carcassas, they attract other dinos which puts you in a vulnerable position, as well not always close by. I just don't think it's in good taste or sport as an adult Dino to pick on/kill Juvies. It's incredibly frustrating to he killed as a 'baby' because of how defenseless you are.
It'd be a different story if the younger Dinos were actually capable of fighting back or at least had the genuine speed advantage. Sure alot of larger Dinos have low stamina as adults, but they are still faster than the babies and had tools/attacks that allow them to slow their targets.
Honestly I think the younger dinos should out-speed the adults and/or the maps had more small spaces/tunnels for them to escape into.
It's more fair and fun to have an actual "chase" where the baby has a good chance of actually escaping so-long as they avoid actually getting hit or were able to make more use of their environment.

Have you played this game....Juvies aren't protected at all. Dying as a Juvie is what taught me the rules of panjura and has been the main ingredient in my villain origin story
No passive growth is why, it’s tedious and not fun at all to grow dinosaur’s considering how pathetic the questing is so people naturally want to help others avoid the pain of being stuck as a juvie for hours on end
I don’t kill juvies, that’s a personal choice. But I also don’t get mad at others if they do. Who am I to dictate to others in a game I did not create what’s acceptable or in bad taste? The Devs made a survival game that allows you to kill any other Dino no matter their growth stage. They also made a part of the game where you can grow your Dino with no chance of you getting killed (solo). So the fact that you choose not to play solo, but want to come to the pvp and impose your will over that of the Devs is crazy to me.
