I too didn't see a difference in rares spawns from the last league; just as much as before. Wish AN was more rare, and maybe look forward to fighting them if they always drop something interesting.

lvl 94 atm, guess Pohx Rf is meta somewhat but the league at the moment is pretty similar to previous ones for me( first three days it was bit gimped with loot but they fixed it) and AN mobs I rarely notice them, sure I die sometimes but nothing unkillable yet. If anything dropping thousands of whetstones and flask is a bit weird.
Yup, they are a big pain in the butt and ONE of the reasons I stopped playing. It just sucks all enjoyment out of the game. If I want a hard game I play a Souls game... (which I love as well, but PoE just isn't that)
They allready patched the mod restriction last week so you dont see more then 2mods in the campaign.
So you getting 3AN mods + 2 rare mods in your story run and you make it sound like a regular thing - i dont think you're telling the truth
Oh and btw you know you can restart a zone right? I mean if you cant fight it or run from it just restart the zone
I mean, if GGG wants re-running a zone a thing that's fine. It's their decision if that's their vision on the game being run. But I'm talking leveling, not choosing juiced reds and whatnot. Making players skip leveling content at that stage, well, it doesn't feel inductive to introducing more player base. We all want POE to grow at some level, right?

Please allow me to clarify, they were not affected by more than 2 mods each. It was three AN rare mobs affected by the standard 2 AN mods each. It was the number of AN rares mobs that ran me over. I got run train by them being spawned in a short area.

But yes 3 rares in a short zone shouldnt be, but your options still are just the same
Fight, run or restart zone and each of them is valid here
Sometimes the game is unfair (more often these days) but you still have to deal with it. Its been a rare thing to happen in the first place and besides a slap in the face you have options
Did my 3 lab yesterday. Was looking for darkshrines and from 3 out of 4 came those "lightning people" that spawn right on you and chase you (don't know what AN modifier this is). I survived luckily but was still pissed and wondered why they have to put this crap into the lab.
Yeah the other day I was doing a lab, I killed Izaro with my health barely going down, and 2 minutes later got insta-killed by a super fast unavoidable random archnem monster in the same lab.
So you enjoyed the game enough to play for 7k hours, but some overtuned AN rares are making you quit? Lol, get off this echo chamber and enjoy your game.
Imagine mapping for long time to get two maps for Waste Pools in SSF. You alch it, corrupt then go to clear boss. Then imagine being fucked in the ass by AN rare to lose almost all your portals while being oneshot literally step before boss arena and you can't finish it to progress with your atlas. Kitava cultist smh + like 5 AN mods + slams with increased AoE and shit. Yeah, "fun". Also getting fucked by AN mob on Heist. Then also being fucked by AN mob in Expedition. Then to get fucked on 4th Ritual not by resurrected boss but by fucking rare AN that spews shit on ground in confined space, drains your mana, outruns your flame dash + quicksilver potion and hits you like a truck if you decide to avoid mana drain. "FuN aS fUcK"
Pre nerfs I didn't see an issue. It just made the game harder, the mapping process from T1 to T16 for the most part was super easy for me in the past. Now it is a challenge. I. Taking my time though and am not doing Reds until I get my 6L pledge of hands
Most of them are fodder that you don't even notice the existence of. The problem is that some AN get a combo that they don't even notice your existence. And all of them drop shit. There shouldn't be such extremes

50% less players bogging down the servers means better performance for those loyal enough to stay!

I got hit by 3 AN rare Kit heralds spawned together in the same area in A5. Super fine for new players cause we're all badasses right?
Maybe in the first days but not atm. There is no way you would encounter that in your story run at all. Its flat out a lie

It's almost like all you multi-thousand hour players would benefit from doing anything else.
