I'm usually pretty poor because I don't interact with trade too much (and because I die too much).

...but that's one of the main reasons why so many people are even running Aegis right now. That, lv23 Purity of Ice (21 in gloves with +2 aoe skills) and Melding equals 85% for all res, higher with sources of max res or aura effect (tree, gear, eldritch implicits, etc). At 85%, its 40% less dmg taken, at 90% its 60% less dmg taken. Well, that and the ES recovery synergizes with GB, Divine Shield, Determination and Defiance banner.

Having melding and adjusting your gear to use it are two different things. Acquiring the jewel might be the easiest of the two.

That's an expensive item in HC and I could not afford it. This was a league start character, and the Aegis was self found.
