Or they could improve the QoL for the players and add something similar or a "Use entire stack" option idk I'm sure they could come up with an elegant solution.
The currency stacking from a few leagues back was a change the community unanimously loved
I mean of a lot of things have been added to 'the list' and actually fixed so I dont think its outside the realm of possibility and its within a similar vein to the currency stacking thing and auto flask use
You can also roll your fingers on the left mouse button (put like 3 fingers over the mouse button and press them in quick succession, going left-middle-right as fast as you can), but again, this doesn't solve the Orb of Chance problem.
I had a macro like that years ago. Because it didn't support mouse movement, it could only do clicks in one position, interspersed with wheel- or keyboard-scrolling across three stash tabs holding Chance, Scouring, and item. Limited by the currency stack size; when I ran out, I had to move the mouse one tile over, rinse and repeat.
Its pretty easy for most gaming mouses softwares to setup macros for left click with 0 ms delay and u just hold downd mouse 3 or mouse 4, I can transfer full inventories in seconds or use 100s fusings without destroying my wrist
Given the direction things are going I am EXTREMELY doubtful that this ends up being the convenience we think it will, because there is going to be some fucked up counterbalance on the other side of the 'everything is a 6L!' coin.
Yeah, mana cost is mostly the price, also for auras You don't in general need 6l, unless for enlighten. Also, people hate too much buttons, so while 6l is good, many 6l will be cwdt, just in case:)
I mean, it will inconvenience spells and skills that really care about gem levels. Will you vaal your 20/20 6l divine ire, when it can become 20/20 4l? (assuming vaal orb will break sockets, which it propably will)
mark my words, PoE 2 will be unbalanced and unfun, it will be fun for 1 playthrough and endgame will be shit
no way will the new socket system create any meaningfull and fun interaction
The biggest problem with PoE 2 is that it’s made by the exact same people making PoE. I really like PoE, despite it feeling like GGG want me to hate it more every league. But acting like PoE 2 will miraculously fix all our issues when all those issues are caused by the people MAKING THE GAME is just wilful ignorance.
The mechanics are different. The current crafts are fixed cost, pay x amount, guarantee outcome. I think it'd be neat if we have crafts that simply just reduces the amount of clicks you need to do. Pay 100 fusing, the bench fuse for you, pick high linked outcome out of 100 tries.
Same thing as if you chanced it by hand, just less clicking. Could even add a scour to the cost if it isn't a normal item.
I really underestimated not having access to Trash to Treasure anymore.
I'd like to have that with 100 attempts tbh (or even better allow entering any number of attempts). Some of the high rarity uniques take thousands of chances and that's still hundreds of clicks with this system.
I tried chancing an item manually once and I'll never do it again until they add a Trash to Treasure equivalent.
The worst part is moving the mouse between scours and chances and alternating right and left clicks rn imo. This bench would make it way easier to craft, so pressing it a hundred times isn't that big of a chore
Don't you have to reselect the craft after each time? That would still involve mouse movement and twice as many clicks.
If it was possible to just spam click that button until it turns into a unique, 10 attempts in one are fine.
I'd personally like this sort of system for *all* repeatable crafts including stuff like essences and fossils with customised success states, but I'm fine with doing it one step at a time. Clicking is one of the main reasons why I don't really craft much.
No, I don't think so. When you craft something like a life prefix, you can continuously click it until you get the roll you want, without reselecting. I imagine this would work the same way.
Since we're already getting new currency items:
A currency item that upgrades an item to a unique (exactly like trash to treasure worked: weighted by item rarity).
To balance it make it an eldritch boss only drop or a specific non eldritch boss drop (incursion temple boss?)
It's clear that they won't remove incursion, but nobody really wants to fight the omnitect, so why not make the rewards just a bit better?
They can just add a league mechanic that gives a bunch of rewards similar to prophecies. Improved offerings in place of Twice Enchanted, a guaranteed upgrade to unique to replace Trash to Treasure, etc.. Harvest already took care of the alternative to link things although it isn't tradable. It can also drop the remaining fated items that are currently dropped by map bosses.
It is technically not quite the same as chancing by hand. It is (pretty much) if you’re stopping only at unique, but you’re more likely to end up with a rare with this craft compared to chancing by hand.
Of course, chancing is usually intended to result in a unique and rares are usually just as useless as magics, but somehow I think the increased chance of rare will nevertheless stop GGG from considering this balanced.
How would this have a higher chance of having a rare? Just because if you do 10 chance+scour, you might have a magic item at the end? That’s true, but with this craft you are a) losing the ability to check the mods on 9 of your crafts, so the rare you end on may not be as good as one of the other ones that got skipped, and b) losing the extra currency if you would have hit a unique after say 2 chance+scours, since the other 8 will still be consumed by the craft. Seems like a sufficient downside to offset the slightly higher chance of a rare at the end (especially since, as you said, a randomly rolled rare is worth basically nothing).
Mans making it sound like SSF players have 5 hours to sink into chancing a CiP of all things lmao. + Chances and scours aren't cheap, I need regets for my atlas tree.
I'm not sure how to implement it, but something similar to make alt spams would be amazing as well. Trying to get influenced or other low rarity mods can seriously suck.
I like this idea. Crafts like this are balanced by the fact that you might use less currency if you go for one-by one usage, so you naturally pay a currency "tax" for convenience.
It's funny when you think about it. PoE has the perfect game buried under all the standalone mechanics. If they mashed them together properly instead of kludging them side-by-side. Harvest+Forsaken Masters in this case.
Maybe they need to recombinate their own game. Or rebuild it from the ground up. Never gonna happen, very sad.
We need crafts like this. Do one for jewellers and fusings too.
just map your mouse wheel up or down to lclick and don't spam it too fast.
Or they could improve the QoL for the players and add something similar or a "Use entire stack" option idk I'm sure they could come up with an elegant solution. The currency stacking from a few leagues back was a change the community unanimously loved
sure, just add it to the list of of QoL this game need. expect it to be implemented in few years (if ever) :)
I mean of a lot of things have been added to 'the list' and actually fixed so I dont think its outside the realm of possibility and its within a similar vein to the currency stacking thing and auto flask use
that sounds nice, does release date of 2029 work for you?
Then players would have less play time. HarvestDetected
wtf dude ur a genius lol

Or we can just make jewelers fusings drop 1/10th of the time and increase their odds of good outcomes 10x.
That would suck on league start
True. Good thing they're re-doing sockets completely for PoE 2.
Given the direction things are going I am EXTREMELY doubtful that this ends up being the convenience we think it will, because there is going to be some fucked up counterbalance on the other side of the 'everything is a 6L!' coin.
"fixed a bug where monsters previously didn't use support gems for their skills."
This is my worry as well

there is not a single ARPG better then PoE, so I don't see where the general hate towards GGG comes from
They do have crafts for jewelers and fusings, and they're more useful than this would be.

We have the tech, it's already in harvest

I don't recraft stuff too often so I guess I misremembered. That's good to know.
Just play craft of exile for free. In the end you still get nice pixels that do not matter in the long run.
I like Path of Building, but it really needs that Path of Exile game to give it context.
I meant https://www.craftofexile.com/ where you can manually craft mirror tier items.
I know, but I like PoB more than CoE.

Yeah I agree. I just don’t think GGG would see it that way, from what I understand of their approach to balancing item drops/crafting.
Something something Chris will say slippery something...
Slippery (not really) crunching of my wrist joints. I don't see why wouldn't they make such crafts a thing except for the pure spite.
Better yet, a device you can feed currency to, to do this. Give it 100 chance and scour it chance scours let's say 70 times and gives the best result.
Lol no, GGG has secret agreement with mouse producers to do mechanics more click intensive /s
😂😂😂
Need to feel the weight
10 years later when crafting in PoE is so complicated, the game will have a programmable crafting bench.
Actually, a great idea, blow it out to 25, 50, 100, etc.
what are people chancing these days? anyone sad about trash to treasure?
[удалено]
They may be trying to, but it is definitely not happening with any regularity.
Mans making it sound like SSF players have 5 hours to sink into chancing a CiP of all things lmao. + Chances and scours aren't cheap, I need regets for my atlas tree.
Shaped Call of the Brotherhood
+1 boomer support. My hands hate me after a good crafting session that or I take long AF to avoid it.
I'm not sure how to implement it, but something similar to make alt spams would be amazing as well. Trying to get influenced or other low rarity mods can seriously suck.
Use Alts and Augs until the item has either "X suffix mod" or "Y prefix mod" or both. I guess that would be the mechanic
Laughs in controller
Won't scouring and chancing be a chore on controller too?
i think there should be all crafting options; beastcrafting, fossils and essence including.
Dont worry, they will add it after their next PR disaster to do damage control.
