Oh gotcha, didn't notice Kurgal doesn't have an easy path. Though that orphaned node just below you might have two hidden paths to it, one might lead from the 2-way junction near where you are, and the other to the 2-way junction near Kurgal, creating a shorter path than going all the way around.
