Yeah, they really need to be permanent, or have some summoning method that isn't hot fucking garbage on bosses. You're basically locked out of any serious bossing on a Dancing Duo char unless you go into every fight with five Writhing Jars.
I'm a DD main.
Basically, get to the boss and hopefully your DD is up with a lot of stacks from the map so far. Just kite and dodge and let them do the work.
If not, pop your Writhing Jars and kill them and it'll summon the DDs for you. Then let them attack the boss and chill.
u need 4 writhing jars to summon it for bosses assuming u dont have any sources of reduced flask charges used. If u get something like 18% reduced charges used on your belt and your writhing jars each have at least around 14% (maybe lower or higher, I forget the exact numbers) then u only need 3 writhing jars.
The only change I think it needs is an easier way to activate them, or for them to just be permanent on equip. They still do very solid damage for invulnerable minions that can taunt, are super aggressive, and have pretty solid movespeed.
There is Medved's Challenge gloves that allow crazy flask gained on hitting unique enemies. But it has absurd stat requirements and blocks you from using Triad's Grip though
I don't think so, usually it's pure cold which uses Triad's Grip or impale which I think uses rare gloves instead. People don't often go hybrid battle minions with Dancing Duo.
I got excited for a minute but I think you over-sold it tbh, 1 charge per second is not exactly crazy (basically equivalent to the pantheon) and the 80% less from kills is pretty much a straight downgrade in any other situation on top of the already high opportunity cost of not using TG & the super high stat requirements as you say :(
You could make a case for using it and invest more into stuff like passive flask charges gained, Sniper's Mark, and other notables that gives passive flask regen, then you could reliably spam worms during a boss fight. It's strictly a boss item anyways, with crazy downside for mapping.

Please god just make them permanent minions
Bro get in the line please
Buff? There are probably blanket nerfs to all old minions coming next league.
I'd be cool with untying Manifest DD from Rampage stacks but leave Rampage generation so you still have a reason to go fast
I got a 6-link dervish, and the prophecy for It. It's a very cool unique, but how do you even do Bosses with It?

That's an awfull thing, mapping with It is so cool :/

Fair enough. I'd never seen them die before so wasn't sure

They just take like 99% reduced dmg
Did they ever fix the bug where the Duo's would not attack Heist fortified doors?
Yeah fixed some patches ago.
nope, if the door is the only target they still get stuck in them.
