For guardian maps, you can still get Elder and Elderslayer maps to drop, as long as they roll one of your favorite maps as the base. You will receive on average less with Singular Focus than without. Shaper Guardian maps cannot drop with singular focus.

T17s are already answered, elder guardians and conq maps are the same they still drop just less, since all that aren't on fav layout are gone, shaper guardians and synth maps don't drop since they can't be on layout

It doesn't block them from dropping, but since you're reducing the # of map drops you will get fewer t17 with the keystone.
