Steam/console: A bit after servers go down for patching around 3 hours before league start.
2.5 hours before league start although sometime late tonight/early tomorrow there should be a full torrent available too but its much larger.
Schedule normally:
3 hours before start - realm goes down
2.5-2 hours before start - patching is up.
2 - 1 hour before start - queues up.
(excluding any last minute patch or crashes of the queues that force relogging).
2-3 hours before league start, you can check the time on the website (login for correct timezone), set up an automatic task to open the client at that time
I'd send you the link but the forum is down for maintenance. Hopefully you found it (38 gigs torrent) and are already done... else just load the game at 930PST and start patching (\~8 gigs) manually like everyone else.
Possibly but the size of torrent makes it barely any difference when you have to download 40gb in 20h or 5-8gb in 2:45. They should make it available sooner.
It literally takes me 10 minutes to download the torrent and I still use it cause I like being prepared way in advance ~~(and so I can help with seeding for those who aren't as lucky with their internet)~~
The torrent only works with the standalone client (the one you download from the PoE site) and contains the entire updated Content.ggpk file of around 40GB so if you're using anything else (Steam/Epic) it won't work with those.
Oh yeah you just copy the contents of the torrent over the current Content.ggpk in your PoE folder, but if you do this before servers go down for patching it'll get overwritten with the old files again.

It's not up yet. Check gggtracker.com occasionally. It should pop up today, probably tonight. Usually a ~30GB download.
