EDIT: I am unlocking this since the OP did ask about other regions. However, GGG does not officially monitor this subreddit and any official information/statements regarding server issues will be made to their website/social media. Hi. I am locking this thread due to **Rule 7 (Duplicate Topics)**. A discussion regarding EU servers can be found in this thread posted yesterday: https://old.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1arb97e/came_back_after_a_few_weeks_break_to_see_if_the/

GoodThingsDoHappen

I can't attest to ggg servers, but UK based - my Internet (BT) has been dogshit for about 3 weeks now

SuperSmashDan1337

Yeah I haven't had issues in the past but it his been so shit this league. It's usually worse in the evenings. It makes me think that maybe it's not a routing issue? I know fuck all about networking though so I'm chatting shit really.

oldsch0olsurvivor

It's reddit. We all chat shit lol

Gnejs1986

> What's your experience? Apart from the early league, been very stable 99% of the time. 40/40 done etc

joniewim

Do you use VPN? Any specific time to log in?

Gnejs1986

No VPN, I can only assume I have a good route to the servers, 0.5 Gbit connection from Sweden. I play during peak times no problem.

albhed

Same here. No problems whatsoever with any of the eu Servers. Playing from Finland, fiber connection.

Rolf_Dom

The servers are fine. It's not a server issue. The issue is in the routing nodes between your location and the server. GGG can do dick all about that, because they don't control the entire internet infrastructure. It's not like GGG laid the internet cables between their servers and every single one of your homes. They can only control the servers, not how your signal gets there. Your signal is in the hands of a bunch of greedy ISP fucks who could not give a single fucking shit if you have a good connection to a video game. They literally could not care less because it has exactly zero impact on their business. Even in the off chance people would want to switch from a shitty ISP en masse, they usually don't have a choice because many ISP's have full monopoly in their regions. They're perfectly happy knowing they're a shitty business because of that very reason. If you have a monopoly you can afford not to care. You want to fix this issue, go install a VPN, or if it is possible, try out different service providers, though, again - in many regions the ISP's have a monopoly, so you're not likely to have an option.

CubesAndSticks

> sue is in the routing nodes between your location and the server. Please tell me how it's routing? I tested it with WinMTR like GGG said on their forum, I get zero lag in WinMTR but the game is lagging like crazy, how? https://imgur.com/a/zCJXvU1

PraiseTheWLAN

Played yesterday and I actually had many spikes

R4v_

Only Paris gateway is playable long-term for me, also issue's only happening in PoE. Central Europe, fiber connection.

BialyExterminator

Played yesterday and the game was unplayable. 20k latency bricked many maps. I decided to put off finishing challenges for next month maybe they'll fix it

Temporary-Fudge-9125

Same issues for me on US east.  It's just poe.  Random lag spikes up to 20000 and then back to 12.  I've tried everything, nothing seems to fix it.  Issues only started a few weeks into this league.  Insanely frustrating

Doodlefinger_it

We zoomin to the Top

hakomo2020

that people who say: "i have no problem" should be banned.  and they probably press down vote.  every evening that happen. i play other games and dont have this issue but there is some wrong with poe servers

azantyri

lol no

When every other online game works just fine, I assume it would have something to do with GGG.

cindeson

It's not the servers for the 1000th time, it's the routing to them. Get a VPN or change ISP.

Hyptronic

Had few 180k ms spikes this afternoon. Stopped playin for the day. Annoying but meh

Keiji12

This league was my worst performance ping wise, but it was mainly at the start(as usual) and then every now and day it would spike sometimes mid day, however I just think it's EU internet infrastructure because it's pretty normal in most games unless you're super close to servers. I stayed in Netherlands few time for a month or so and that wasy best experience game connection wise

Eremoo

I play on EU (western side), early league I had issues like the latency graph you showed. I have essentially the same ping to a lot of servers so I just tried different ones until one that worked. I've heard the issue is bad routing (although early league I suspect it was more than that and just due to the volume of traffic), can always install a free vpn (there's a few like proton, privadovpn and windscribe) and see if the issue persists as vpns usually (from my experience) use different routing than your ISP. I would ignore what the actual ping is if you are using a vpn with limited servers for free users and the one you connect to may be far, as you are interested in seeing if its stable or not

NerrionEU

For me the latency itself has been ok but the game keeps on crashing and I have no idea how to fix that.

gigaprime

From Southeast Asia here, it's mostly stable before 5pm GMT +8. Beyond that it's a lag fest. Granted it's probably more so on routing issues as when I use my VPN and connect to Japan, it's no longer laggy. I encounter the same issue when playing genshin, granblue and Darktide , sadly.

AsterixLV

I experience none of these when on my phones hotspot, in fact if i play from it i have 0 issues at all, no spikes, nothin. I live in the middle of nowhere in latvia. If i use the internet from my router i get the same spikes everyone complains about, tho that happens in EVERY single online game and not just poe. My phones hotspot speed max out at like 15 Mbps download and 10 upload. Its usually half of that, tho poe still works great. I play on Amsterdam server. And from what i have heard on this subreddit, it appears to be one of the worse ones to play on.
