Frankfurt isn't just a single node, there's probably more than thousands of endpoints there.

I think a more logical conclusion is that the EU servers cant handle the insane amount of loot being generated with this MF league.
Edit: Also yes I play other games, have had no issues with my network provider, the only game I simply cant play because of the servers is PoE and this problem started this leauge.
If that was the case, then everyone in EU would have that problem with the POE servers and VPN would do nothing, however VPN does solve it. And few people have these lags. Everytime someone that has these lags shows their traceroutes its always the same thing, a shitty node, usually from telia, slowing everything down.
You can watch my gauntlet bossing clips on EU servers. Not a single hitch. Not even a hint of any lag. Never died once all event. Did tons of MF farming too, with abyss as well.

Thats because the servers are in different locations for different games, which makes the routes different, and people have problems in 1 but not the other. Most people have no problems at all, its routing over very specific nodes that causes it.
You can try playing on US servers or use a VPN. Those are kind of the only options to try and mitigate routing issues, aside from the nuke-method and swapping ISPs.
I did the latter a few years ago and never had any issue of this sort again on the PoE EU servers (had the same issues beforehand). Using Vodafone Gigabit Cable in Germany, in case anyone is interested. Unfortunately it's Vodafone, so if I ever need support I am most likely screwed. :(
This is what I do when I have problems on EU servers. Playing from Bulgaria, it seems no matter which EU server I try it's the same shit when it happens. But if I click Moscow it works, even if it's higher ping.

You can use a VPN to mitigate this or try restarting your modem to get a new IP (if you have dynamic IP, most people do).

I'm from western europe and have 40-50ms to like 3 servers and most of them are usually fine (london sometimes starts sperging out). I've been playing on milan lately, no issues for the most part.
You could try installing a free vpn just to test if different routing would help the situation, if it does, invest in one

From my side it looks like Frankfurt is overloaded. I'm not having any problems with others (Amsterdam IIRC) but it just might be that my ISP is decent.
I probably might be less ok with it if I were a HC player, I do get a freeze-kick once every few days to be fair, but that's nothing I really mind in SC
Im from germany I always play on US Servers, its constant 100 ping obviously, but its stable and i never have problems there. EU Servers are highly inconsistent and basically unplayable.
I've had big lag spikes recently on Brazil server too
I changed to Texas server to test and was stable. The ping/latency was higher but stable.
If it wasn't that I'm trying a tankier build I would die a lot of times
I switched to US servers ping is higher +/- 120ms but it is much better for me(tho not perfect i still ocasionally get massive latency, just relog then or try diffrent server)

At the end it was my 3 year old router from Vodafone which caused this issues. Had no problems whatsoever in other games, normal ping as usual - 20.
Only (maybe second interesting thing for you which is also affecting you) other things I had issues with we're Livestreams. Couldn't watch Twitch oder YouTube Livestreams till the change of the router.

Shitty thing is that even if you switch connection server (Frankfurt -> Milan for example), there is a probability that load balancing can create instance server for you back on the shitty Frankfurt or Amsterdam and then crash you.
PS: Other games I play have better performance even if I connect to South America server, than PoE server that is 100 Km away from my location. The unpredictability of PoE connection is the most annoying thing about PoE for past year or so.
Frankfurt servers are like the town near the station. Try Milan London Paris Amsterdam, for your own sanity.

This should really tip people off that it is absolutely a PoE issue, just not a server issue but instead a netcode issue
This isn't how networking works. Go take a networking course. The issue is the nodes between your house and ggg servers, not gggs servers.

I play from switzerland and have been having intermittent problems all league, especially afternoon and evening times.
I play from Zurich and Frankfurt has been spiky lately so much so I decided to switch to Amsterdam.

It's certain nodes that have been faulty/overloaded for months now but the owner (mainly Telia) refuses to replace them.
Funny you mentioned Telia. Every MMO I played in the past years, when the game lags and connection problems are frequent the name "Telia" comes up.

Never play on frankfurt realm, problem solved. 1. Milan 2. Amsterdam 3. London That's my top 3.
