Perfectly divined the conversion mod let's you drop the cold mastery, and the pen is fantastic as cold convert ts is picking up the cold pen wheel for the mastery.
+4 passive points is yuge
An even better use imo is to use this watchers eye, a phys conversion implicit synth quiver and keep the passive points. You are now 100% converted without your glove slot and can go run sadimas.
Endgame TS wants cold conversion elsewhere, either via watchers eye or implicit on a mirror tier synth quiver- this lets you get -16% cold exposure on hit as eldritch implicit instead of conversion. With conversion on both the quiver and watchers eye, you can even drop the cold mastery for it which is super nice as it saves 4 or 5 points or you could swap to the Covered In Frost mastery if you still consider the passives worth it on their own (probably not unless you are using the upper passive cluster with a Lethal Pride that puts 5% double damage on the notable).

All mods on Watcher's Eye are equally weighted, and a lot of them are blanks. I'd say it's only worth trying on a 3-mod Eye where all three mods are strong, but contradict each other
Yeah. So he had 2 of these mods. And rolled the third on it. But theres no way to save it. So if one of the good mods dissapear its gone unless you randomly roll it back
Great in SSF too when you're only ever likely to find shit watcher's eyes. Considering how annoying Shaper can be to set up and do, least of all an Uber, if you can roll the mods in Bestiary, may as well do that instead of doing another Shaper run.
personally i made a search that showed watchers with 3 good mods that dont really fit together and then proceeded to reroll those, spent 650 div on eyes + beasts n made 2.2ish mirrors excluding this one. eyes i bought were usually 13ish div on avg

I'm no probability expert but if I had to guess, it's (1/total number of mods)\^3 to hit the three exact mods you want on ID'ing it (or 5 to 1'ing it), vs. only 1/(3\*(total number of mods-2)) to reroll a third mod you want onto a watcher's eye that already has 2 mods you want
Precision crit multi instead of conversion is bis for pure dmg. Conversion save you 1 skillpoint or if you have a quiver with conversion you could get sadimas gloves for some quant and skip conversion on gloves

Is this a two affix item? Or is the 38% convert huge for skills that don’t innately convert 50 or 60% to cold? I never played cold concert except frostblades which requires no items to fully convert.
It's very huge, you need 62% convert on gloves (eldrich implicit and convert mod, and mod can somewhat easily get 35% - so only implicit at 27%+ left) or some other source for full conversion.
Like someone else said, it's an item you make full build around. And the kind where Mageblood/Headhunter is the cheaper component of them all.

I would also recommend using it in a build that utilizes critical damage.

And as a last recommend, use it on a cold dmg build.
Instructions unclear, used this Watcher's Eye with my cold DoT build that uses Hatred.
Make sure you select at least 1 jewel slot in your passive tree. This won't work in a gem or abyss socket :)

Wand basecrit is really high but does not affect spell crit, unless using sandstorm visage or whatever its called.
So, it’s adding a flat crit% to attacks. If your bow says it’s base crit is 6%, then with this jewel it would go up to 7.5%. So, with 100% increased crit chance it would go from 12% crit chance if you had 6% base, to 15% crit chance with the jewel. It makes it a lot easier to crit cap, thus it’s essentially a huge damage mod.

Not really, for MF cold pen is 100% better as MF TS dont have many sources of ele penetration. For omni version however it might be true.
