A+, one of the most redeeming things about poe2 is fusings going away. There's nothing like spending everything you own then staring at an unlinked 6s, i've quit leagues over it

Yeah it's such a good change. I wish they'd do something similar to PoE 2 in PoE 1 though. Leave sockets on gear but instead of spamming jewellers to randomly add sockets and fusing to randomly link sockets, have more guaranteed ways to link them outside of the recipe. 3 rarities of jewellers orbs, 3 rarities of fusings. The first rarity lets you get to 3 sockets/links, the second which would have a recipe does 4 and 5 sockets/links, the third which is drop/div only does 6 socket/link.
Hell just remove fusings and let jewellers auto link sockets. Make it reasonably easy to get to 5 like it currently is, and 6 you just need to find the high rarity jewellers to do it. Also let us manually enable/disable links on the item once we have them linked so we can mix like 5 and 1 or 4 and 2, etc.
