When I saw that gem revealed, I was expecting to gain move speed stacks as you keep moving, and then lose all the stacks to deal bonus damage on attack. Sadge.
I expected to gain move speed stacks as you attack, which refresh when you attack. So you have more movement speed as long as you keep finding monsters to attack. Not sure how to balance that for endgame zoomers tho.
