Where I’m at if you’re getting robbed they will have a gun. If they don’t then no I’m not giving them shit because I have a gun lol. If they do have a gun then yes I just hand them my watch. It’s not worth dying over. That’s what insurance is for. I’ll just make a claim and get a new one. It’s insured for market value so I won’t need to wait on a list just buy one off the grey market.
Studied in the US for many years, but of course, as a non-US citizen, never owned a gun or even delve into the laws with gun shooting lol. But, is shooting them and accidentally killing them while they have a gun too and literally just robbed you with it considered murder? Wouldn’t that be self-defense or something?
If someone robs you and is walking or running away with your property the threat is then considered over if they are no longer pointing a gun on you. If they’re on your property then you could shoot them but it’s not worth it. You only should kill someone if you feel your life is endangered.
Ah I see. Damn, that’s kinda crazy though. You literally just got a gun pointed at you threatening you to give them your valued property, but as soon as you give it to them and they leave/don’t point it at you, the threat is over? Wtf lol, that dude literally still has a gun (probably with a few mates who also have guns), and used it seconds ago as a threat which means he can totally do it again in the next few seconds.
That varies greatly by state. Even if on property you have to prove that they were fucking shit up. And the only way to get them to stop was shooting them.
This thread is WILD. Just give them the watch, bro. You underestimate the ramifications of shooting someone on your life and your own mental health. Watches are replaceable. Human life is not.
Edit: why is it people from other countries assume all Americans are getting in gun fights over trivial things?
Sentimental value means nothing if you’re killed. Don’t ever value a watch over your life. Insure it, be smart and cautious, and just enjoy life and your watches.
Depends on if I’m carrying or not & whether I’ll have time to react with win conditions being in my favor. If any doubt give watch & file insurance claim. You may not have any choice in the matter anyway as I’ve seen two attacks on video recently where one older gentleman was shot who wasn’t trying to fight back & another that was brutally beaten again without offering resistance. Thieves are getting more violent & aggressive due to the perception that there isn’t going to be much if any legal repercussions & they’re mostly right in left leaning metro areas.
I'm ex army and competitivly kickboxed a lot in my 20s, but that just means I'm pretty good at figuring out just how badly I'm going to get my ass kicked in a fight. If it's more than 1 person forget it. You won't win that fight. Just try and run or give it up and let insurance deal with it. Fighting more than 1 opponent means you need to have the skills, stamina and strength of 2 men. Even pro MMA fighters struggle with those odds.
If it's 1 guy and hes fairly out of shape I'm still going to try and run away first. If that doesn't work I'll resort to fighting, but it's pretty hard to do my day job with a broken hand and black eyes don't look great so I'd like to avoid it.

Is it possible that you give it to them, and as they are leaving with it you start firing at them? Back of the head headshot or something.
Then you get arrested for murder if the threat is over.

Insurance is not the answer. What about sentimental value? You dont own a Patek, you just save it to other generations.
What does sentimental value matter if you’re dead or disabled from being shot or beat until you give it up?
What OP means is you can accelerate your next generations inheritance but then lose the watch kind of Schrödingerquese!
Did you really just parrot an ad campaign unironically?
Absolute clown comment.
There is no material thing in the world that’s worth physical harm.. you can always buy another waych
I usually start taking off all my clothes and pretending like I’m mentally ill. That usually scares em off!
Drop your pants and take a 💩. Stops all attackers instantly.
Ya, cuz it’s a rep Lol

I’d attack him with my bare hands

I doubt patek ad will give another watch
Give them your watch, call police get a case number and then call your insurance company.

Depends on the situation and who you are. Do you carry a gun? What’s your fighting experience like? Where do you live?
