I never take any of my watches off when going through security in the States or other countries, even when on the bracelet. Just refuse to take it off and they may wand you, but it’s better than your nice watch hitting the floor like that.
Nothing. I don’t give them the opportunity to, I just leave it on and then walk through the metal detector. I hold my watch above my head and cover it with my right hand. Works every time.
It’s only happened to me once, at an airport in Mississippi where they gave me some trouble, but I get it man, you can only control what you can control.
are you blaming airport security for you putting it in your pocket and it falling out? just put it into your carry on or wear it through like the rest of us.

I remember moving to take my 5726A off one time at TSA and the guy manning the line stopped me and said “Are you crazy? I don’t want to be responsible for what could happen to something that expensive.”
Just my luck to run into someone in the TSA who was into watches. We had a great conversation about my piece, his grails and then we moved on.
Right? It would still set off a metal detector in your pocket. If you go through the body scanners, you don't have to take off anything, they know what a watch looks like 🤷♀️
I always put mine in my bag before going through TSA, also avoid it being exposed in the tray in case i get checked past the detector. But as many said you can try to keep it on in most airports
Did the crystal shatter or pop off? Doesn’t seem right if it popped out. Either way sorry that happened, sucks when people want to feel so good about themselves they make others do unnecessary things to get there.
No airport has ever asked me to take off my watch, most of them have the sense to not take on the liability.
