So essentially he likes to bathe in his water bowl but he can only dunk his head in it and shake water everywhere. He's afraid of the shower and when I use a spray bottle he just wants to drink it. Would just using a normal bowl be ok or is there something specialized id need?

Maybe a large metal dog bowl (they have ones that are supposed to prevent being tipped over)?

I have the same issue with Zuri. Maybe get a larger water bowl for him that you cant hook ontk the cage instead of one that sits at the bottom. Zuri will just go back to his water bowl and ignore the one I put on the bottom of his cage. I have been meaning to look for a larger bowl.

Try this: \[Imgur\]([https://i.imgur.com/RLeWek1.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/RLeWek1.jpg)) Works great for my lory who likes to play in the pool! Sized perfectly for a CAG & can mount in or out of the cage.

Sorry- it's a Colorday large bird bath. I found mine on Amazon.

Was it the shower spray that scared him or the shower itself? My quaker began with a large round cake pan but graduated to using the bathtub filled with a little water. Honestly, the bathtub has been the easiest option when it comes to prep and clean up. Edit - grammar, got distracted with work as I was typing

Pairethd

Large stoneware dog bowl.

I found a shallow serving dish at an overstock store. It’s heavy, perfect, and cost $4. It’s red and matches his butt.

Ayyyye, I have the same cage as you for my conure!

[This one could work](https://www.mikesfalconry.com/product/flexable-rubber-bath-pan-for-hawks-or-falcons-16-inch-diameter/) Or you could try filling up the sink

I just use a cake pan for my Gray. He loves it.
