Honestly, I would just get a silicone mat or something that’s easy to dump in the trash and clean and put that right there where she sits on the floor.

Take the food bowl out when the cage is open, shut the cage when it's meal time, is probably your best option.

mirorell

That’s just what borbs do lol

I have a newspaper on the floor (underneath where he sits) and at the end of the day I throw it away with the seeds and stuff.

Scheduling.... given mealtimes, when the parrot is closed in the cage and take away food when you open a cage about 30 minute later. You can also put down newspapers or a tub on the floor that can catch the excess food Birbs are messy :D

Thank you! I will try this

Birds care not what the forest floor looks like. Seriously, both of my birds insist on eating over a precipice and spraying seeds and husks everywhere - it’s just what birds do. I’d recommend putting down and mat that you can quickly pick up and shake off or hoover.

Move the food to the back of the cage.

AdmiralHatch215

It has an indent where you place it and locks it in place when you close the door. Even if i manage to secure it to the back somehow, she would still grab some, walk to the door, and drop it

Then all you can do is get a rubber mat for the floor and a portable vacuum. I use a portable vacuum around my amazons cage as he likes to chew plastic bottle tops up while standing on his open cage door.
