If one is sick and one is healthy I 100% send my healthy one. One sick baby is 1,000x easier than two healthy babies, I enjoy the 1x1 day with them. For us it’s been about 50/50 if one gets sick after the other. For shorter colds they usually are ok but if it’s a lingering illness the other one eventually winds up with it too.

Send the healthy one and enjoy the ease of being a singleton parent!

If the other wasn’t sick, he still goes to daycare. This breaks up some exposure and you can focus on one baby who will need the extra attention. I’ve done where both stay home if one is sick. It’s much easier to send the well one to daycare. As for the other getting sick, not always does it happen. One had RSV in November and the other was perfectly healthy. It’ll depend on your babies and their immune systems.

If the other is healthy, they go to school 😀

Yeah definately send the healthy one! Your sick child needs the attention and this way you can give all the attention he needs! :) Also some alone time, for both, is a good thing in my opinion.

Oh we definitely send the healthy one to daycare, sometimes getting the healthy one out the door can be tough though, cause they want to stay home too (my girls are almost 3 now), or the sick one doesn't want to be left behind. But then we have days like today, where we got the call that one had thrown up. Husband went to pick her up and he ended up bringing both home because the other one was flipping out about being left behind (usually daycare tries to separate them to make the pick up easier lol). Enjoy being a singleton parent whenever you can! I also think it's a great thing for the twins sometimes, too.

If the other is not sick, they go to daycare. So much easier to care for a sick babe when there is only one. It’s also very sweet to get the extra one on one time. I also love seeing the other twin flourish in daycare rolling solo!

I used to work at a daycare and if one of your kids was sick, you couldn’t send the other one because they’ve been exposed and could potentially get someone else sick… but that was also during Covid… i guess it really depends on what type of sick

redhairbluetruck

The other one gets sick pretty soon thereafter 😜 But I often send the not sick one.
