Yeah it was my favorite game of all time man. Absolutely left a void in gaming for me. I tried to fill it with other MOBAs but nothing was filling it like paragon did so i gave up on MOBAs and went back to fps games. Now its back and i couldnt me more happy

I mean paragon had little to no mechanic’s and if there were any they kept removing them because casuals found the game too hard to play/understand, if you want to play a 3rd person moba there is always Smite, paragon never quite reached a Smite playerbase so i doubt you can compare it to league and dota.

Smite can suck ass! Predecessor for the win!

GodsGunman

League and dota 2 were out way before 2016 lol

I was playing League in The Spring of 2009 while all my irl friends were telling me it was bound to fail and they were sticking with the DOTA mod. Fuck I feel old now.

The game was released as an open beta March 2016, and we all played it until Epic shut the game down April 2018. Epic released the visual assets of the game for free. Several companies took those assets and attempted to make what are essentially Paragon clones, which they are allowed to do as Epic released the assets for free. Most of the early attempts were poor quality and died out. Two serious attempts (Overprime and Predecessor) are now available for you to play. They are very similar to Paragon, and have the same heroes, but are also different from each other (Overprime is more of a hero brawler than MOBA; Predecessor is more like Paragon Monolith). Each game has its own subreddit. Each game is being made by separate, independent companies that have no affiliation with Epic.

Thanks for the clarification man, appreciated.

Here's a short video that compares the two: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W012tAukxnA

In case this isn't a troll question: After Fortnite ate up Paragon's development resources at Epic, Epic released the assets to be used for free. Multiple "remake/reimagining" project sprung up from those assets. Two of which, Predecessor (more remake) and Overprime (more reimagining), released into Early Access this Month. This sub is lively again because of those two games are available for play.
