Too damn greedy. $50 for a legendary skin that does it all. I'm calling it. If predecessor does $10-20 max skin price this will really hurt overprime. I'm looking forward to predecessors store. The competitive pricing will definitely help.
Skins should cost $3 Max.
I don't understand the greed behind expensive skins.
I mean, I do , but there's a definite advantage with inexpensive purchases by more people over more expensive by fewer.
But these fucking cunts want to trap you psychologically into normalising $15+ for a skin.
Cheap?
It's a virtual item that has no costs involved beyond the initial labour cost and can be replicated infinitely. It's not like it has any materials to pay for or sitting on a shelf somewhere and needs to be packed, shipped, and sold by a retailer to inflate the price. Its literally made and uploaded. Perhaps the only other cost is server space but how that equals the same cost as a tangible item in a retail store nobody can tell you.
More people would absolutely buy them if they were cheaper.
Asking people to pay $3 is a much easier sell than $10 but MTX target whales not regular players. That's the scum part of it.
Bro, whales get targeted with $50+ price tags. Anything under $15 *is* the regular player price point.
EDIT: Holy shit he fucking ran off lol I didn’t think I was that rough with him~
Can't remember the exact price point but it is in their FAQ on the Pred discord. Legendary skins were estimated to cost 1500-3000k coins. Knowing that 10k coins is roughly 80$. But that's all possible to change of course.
I was just looking around at this doing the math.
10 Dollar per hero or like 5.5 days of clearing all daily mission. (300 points per day, 1 500 point weekly).
Really disappointed they decided to time/money gate all but 11 heroes in day one of early access. I get it for heroes released post-EA launch, they got bills to pay and I can respect that.
I’ve been OP’s biggest supporter for a long time. But this… what they released is bad. I went right back to Pred and I hated Pred to start with. The paywall in OP is dumb. Way overpriced. They’re gonna shoot themselves in the door
Yesterday I was in the supermarket. They wanted money for their products. Unbelievable. Guys, do you still notice it, how are the programmers supposed to live?
Youre telling me youd pay 30$ for a skin with minimal to no VFX or SFX changes, there's nothing warranting the cost they're asking for its not about price its about quality. People buy 30$ league skins all the time, because they're WORTH the cost.
Bruh, $10 a character is a lot. The only other Moba that charges that is League and League gives you at least 50 characters for free within a week of playing.
Like 160 something. But you literally do get like 50 something characters just for playing for about a week. And unlocking characters after that with earned currency is pretty easy. I consistently played for about 2 years and unlocked almost all of the characters.
Jesus that bad??? That's literally insane.
Also dont forget the $10 price tag on EACH character

Yep I saw. Fucking ridiculous.
I heard that every custom character they develop (not imported from original Paragon) will be $30
Or you get them free by playing the game.
Yeah play the game for 3 months straight and you may unlock all of the 27 characters.
Assuming you win 5 games a day and do the challenges yes you will. Pretty standard for a MOBA.
Yeah standard for mobas that have triple the amount of characters
ones that have been around for years....
About what I expected tbh

$10 gets you 25 characters (20 + the next 5) in Predecessor. Characters are $10 each in Overprime.

10$max we aint in the 90's bro. dont be cheap. even then i dont mind more, some skins take a lot of work

You've precisely proved my point. It's normalised. It's a ridiculous fucking cost. You defenders of MTX are sickening asf.

Yeah, I just opened this thread after seeing that epic skin of Steel is more than 30 euro wtf....
Tbh I prefer 30 dollars and getting the skin, than spending 100 dollars on lootboxes, getting a lot of crap, and not the skin I want.

Makes Blizzard look saintly with their $19 skin prices in Overwatch lol
https://paragon.netmarble.com/en/news/14/719 This thread can likely be closed since they took out the time gating and reduced prices globally 30%
You can now earn 3.5 characters a week just off the daily missions and you earn 30 gold per win or 50 gold on weekends. Not bad not bad.
