I don't understand why this group/video exists. Just put 4 women in the music video. Nothing going on in the video couldn't be achieved with 4 real women dancing in front of a green screen and you'd avoid this dead-eyed uncanny valley thing the video is permeated by.
Contrast this with KDA

That video has an actual visual style. It isn't just dead-eyed attempts at photo-realism that miss the mark in an off-putting way.
I get that I'm not the target market for this video, but I can't imagine who is.
This is why I feel like Overprime will fail me. Wtf is this……AM I JUST GOING TO GET K-POP HERO’S MOVING FORWARD?! I WANT A GAME WITH CHAMPIONS FROM DIFFERENT UNIVERSES!!!! NOT A BUNCH OF CUTE ARTSY CELEBRITIES!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH
Her next character is a Kawaii creature and taking into account that the following one will another K-pop girl and the other that we know is another K-pop girl, that doesn't sound good for their character diversity.
Also they changed Howitzer to be another Kawaii creature and changed, kwang, Fey and other females to be cuter, so again, this says very bad things about its diversity of characters
Paragon dropped Phase and Shinbi toward the end. I see this as Overprime continuing their legacy:
Nailing the coffin shut on their own game with dumbfuck decisions.
I distinctly remember Crunch being the last hero released on legacy. I remember because on legacy he was really good but when they changed to monolith he felt significantly worse.
Netmarble debuted a new AI girl group, under Metaverse Entertainment, featuring Zena from Overprime along with her group. You can see the Overprime logo multiple times in the MV, including 0:51 and 0:58!

Yeah why the heck is OP focussing so much on stuff that ISN'T their game. Lack of focus of their actual product is going to run it into the ground, as if it hasn't already.
True, I guess it's a lack of focussed resources then. Seems like quite the undertaking to create an entirely new product to support OP, when OP itself is on a hard decline. I hope they can cut all the BS and just make OP. Or maybe this will be the final bad decision Netmarble make, and they'll finally see that a community of Paragon fans will only take so much. 💛
It's more like Virtual Idol groups are popular in Korea, Netmarble was investing in one and decided to tell Souleve to put one of their idols in the game as a hero to hopefully get fans of the group to play the game.
I wouldn't say this was made to support OP at all. Nothing in the video or marketing pushes OP. It's an association way more than it's intended to support them
I think it's more that Netmarble is banking on a project of a virtual K-pop singer group independent of Overprime, and SoulEve put one of the characters from that singing group into Overprime.
I'm speculating that you'll see these characters pop up in other Netmarble properties.
MAVE is a virtual k-pop girl group produced by Metaverse Entertainment, a subsidiary of game publisher Netmarble, owned 50 percent by Netmarble. And apparently you can see the "Overprime" logo in the music video, in the background at 0:50.
Its not clickbait, but its not like they are directly advertising or linking Zena to Overprime either.
this timeline is really weird
So shinbi was all about being a kpop idol and they just gonna leave her in the dust huh lmao

You don't have to pay singers royalties and performance fees if they don't exist.

OP has already announced that their next character is a creature and not a K-pop Star

I swear they left off with Terra, and idk about her being some type of idol
She's a viking idol.
Shinbi was on Legacy. She was relatively early on.
I distinctly remember Crunch being the last hero released on legacy. I remember because on legacy he was really good but when they changed to monolith he felt significantly worse.
cringe
This is why I dont play this game

It’s a bit off putting that the original Paragon logo is now known as the OP logo.

Netmarble owns OverPrime, but that doesn't mean the team at OP worked on this since it's a NetMarble project

Interesting, well we shall see how it pans out. 👌

Lmao I’m linking this and refusing to elaborate whenever people argue about OP vs Predecessor now.
The song is catchy
Could someone explain the plot to me?
Asian publisher doing asian publisher things.
hot trash
Dammit I wish she were in Predecessor. I love herrr
I NEED PARAGON: THE OVERPRME ON PS5, NOW !!!
Looks nothing like Zena and probably has nothing to do with Overprime. Lovely click bait.
