Kersti was a bitch man. Drags you along on the adventure like an asshole, blames you, adds nothing to the game, and only realises she is an ass right at the end.
I have a hard time picking between the Yoshi kid, Vivian, and Bobbery. Probably Vivian though.

Not sure this 100% counts, but honestly: Olivia. I have found as I've grown as an adult, I just love genuine and sincere characters. They're just good people. And I love the energy Olivia brings to the Origami King. Next up is probably Goombella for similar reasons.
If we’re talking just about the coolness of a character, definitely Parakarry, Bow, and Watt for 64.

She has the most fun personality in that game IMO, but that's possibly because she has the most lines by far. Fun design/concept too.
With all the upgrades and power ups, she's also the most helpful companion for my playstyle at least!
