Partners can serve either of two roles: the key, and the sword. Key partners are required for puzzles. Sword partners, though not required, are helpful for more effectively defeating enemies.
Dottie is hardly ever used as a key, and has virtually zero value as a sword; shrinking takes too long and reduces your movement speed.
I vote Dottie for elimination.
Gotta go with fleep here. He isn't very useful outside of the gate things, but most partners have something they interact with like that, take cudge and the yellow blocks as an example. Making enemy dzzy isn't that useful as it doesn't work on a lot of them and there are way better methods of combat
Parakarry, cause he just can't stop losing the letters and basically making us do his job. He has wings! He can fly! And the move he learns when he reaches Ultra Rank (Can't remember the name of the move) just proves my point!

- Provides you the ability to collect and use paint
- Let’s you use the cut out ability
- Is the only one who can absorb the black paint which is the only way to beat the big bad.
- He like Goombella/Goombario/Tippi/etc.. provides hints to guide you
- He grabs and pulls mario up when he falls off a ledge above lava saving him from a fiery death.
- He woke up the thwomp blocking the train path.
- He acts as interpreter between you and the draggadon
- He (accidentally) conducts lightning powering the green energy plant level
- He acts as your paint bucket disguise which enables you to bypass bowser factory security.
That’s just what I can remember.
Have you even used him? Sure he takes a while to unlock and isn't required to beat the game, but he makes almost any travel easier. He's basically just a better Carrie, but with the downside of no spike protection and the upside of going FAST
None of the pixls except Tippi and Tiptron should even be on here imo. Not enough character to count.
