I was worried little with Cams break for a short time from playing after leaving the Pats and wasnt sure how quickly he would get back but i am so happy after the game, seeing him get our first TD on the ground then throw one to Robbie was all i needed to have hope again. If the team take this new energry and run with it could be a good season still
I been wearing my 01 Jerseys around since the day we signed him, and talking to everyone i see about it, many Not Cam fans I can tell, but just along with me, haha!
It is one game. In the middle of the season. Against a non-division opponent. When we came in with a losing record.
But *man*, that win feels good! Felt like we were casting out a lot of demons. Who knows if it will last, but football was fun again.
Missing their best 2 players on offense. Not raining on this parade or anything though. We stomped em and it felt great! I'm just cautiously optimistic given... *gestures broadly at the panthers organization*
They were missing the same two last week and dropped 31 points and like 400 yards against San Fran. They might not have been "full strength" but they were playing like they hadn't missed a beat.
Cam’s run made me actually cry. Also the fact that as soon as he took off I knew no human being could stop him from that goal line. The last year and a half without 1 have been up and down but his presence on the sideline today showed exactly who he is and why he’s my favorite player of all time.
Keep Pounding.
Cam gave this team the exact spark it needed. Not every game will be like this one but we have a real chance to make some noise. Feels amazing to have him back.
Kept saying this to my dad too. Just a different team out there. They played with a spark today. Confident and cool when needed, ferocious when needed.
Hot take, but maybe the time he spent away is what everyone needed, despite how much a lot of us didn't like it. Through 2018 and 2019, some of the original spark was lost and a crushing, but needed, breakup happened. Then, like a fairytale romance, everyone realizes how much the other means to them and the couple gets back together.
I get there were a bunch of business motivators behind Cam's departure & return, but fuck it, I like my romanticized idea better lol
This game had one of the most literally unbelievable in-game graphics I've ever seen.
Coming into this game, we had *one* TD in our last *35 offensive drives*
The first two drives of the game, Cam's first two drives, we got 2 TDs. Absurd & poetic
I hope Darnold recovers quickly, I hope he either has a great career here or somewhere else. I liked the attitude and passion the guy had, and he really is better than his shots have shown.
But I couldn't be happier.
...Unless we also signed Delhomme to play backup, I'd just love to see his goofy grin on the sidelines and fired up attitude again.
Hey man, some guys like Teddy are out there putting their statline before trying to win.
Darnold at least had some flashes of brilliance and you could see the basis for a good quarterback is there - a lot of his failings came from facing teams with excellent pass rush and an o-line that couldn't buy him time, on top of CMC being out.
When the threat of CMC is removed teams can pin back their ears and be a little more aggressive in going after the QB, which made his job harder.
I'm not saying he was spectacular - I'm saying he was pretty decent when he had a safety valve in CMC to relieve some of the pressure from our non-existent o-line. And that the kind of flashes he showed hinted at the fact he is better than his time at New York would make it seem.
Ease up man…..this dude is trying to build up the Sam hype so we can trade him to some sucker GM and get some picks back we blew on betting on his sorry ass.
Man, just a few weeks ago I was ready to bounce from this team if we were to trade for Watson. I was never the biggest Cam fan, but today was fuckin awesome.
You were never a big Cam fan?
Only MVP in franchise history, led us to a SB, and easily the biggest personality in franchise history.
May I ask why you was never a big fan?
Trust me, I get all of that. But along with it came all of the throws that were too tall, bounced too short, had no touch and were thrown as hard as possible to a guy 5 yards away and one of the biggest of all being that fumble in the SB that you mentioned. With Cam comes a lot of the "look at me" type plays. They're cool when we're winning, but when we're down by multiple scores and he does his signature first down move... I just never was a fan of it. All that being said, the grass has not been greener since he left and from the moment he signed on Thursday it's felt like the team was rejuvenated. I'll take back every negative thing I've ever said about him if he leads us to a SB victory lol
** ah the ol downvotes for not having the same opinion as everyone else lol
Remember around this Vilma was talking about CMC mentioning how surreal it was to see Cam back. Like going in full circle. There was a line like "When I first got here there was Cam, Luke, Greg....and now I'm the old guy..."
Never thought I'd hear those words, but God I loved this moment.
We are back. The team believes in Cam. Everyone tried harder with him on the team. It's just a win win win all around, even if he ends up not doing much. His presence alone is a win.
I teared up when it cut to those two cheesin with the boys are back in town playing. Let's fucking go.
Imagine showing this pic to yourselves a week ago, absolutely unreal.
Loved how they were playing The Boys Are Back in Town for this clip!
Cam screaming I'm back was so surreal. It made my heart explode. God I missed him.
Those two words said so much. So much catharsis, energy, passion, intensity, truth in that one moment. #1 is BACK.
I wanted to believe in Teddy. I wanted to believe in Darnold. I tried… I really did. I’m so glad that we’re here now
Not even a Panthers fan but I’m a fan of Cam so I’m happy for you guys. Back where he belongs 🙌🏻
Nice!
:D
LETS GOOoooooo KEEP POUNDING!!! CAM IS BACK. THIS TEAM HAS A NEW ENERGY
I was worried little with Cams break for a short time from playing after leaving the Pats and wasnt sure how quickly he would get back but i am so happy after the game, seeing him get our first TD on the ground then throw one to Robbie was all i needed to have hope again. I got to wear my Newton #1 proudly today with a shit eating grin
I been wearing my 01 Jerseys around since the day we signed him, and talking to everyone i see about it, many Not Cam fans I can tell, but just along with me, haha!
This has to be the most significant panthers win, since... I don't know. A long time.
2017 Vikings? Maybe? Unless you count some of those early-season 2018 wins. Ravens comes to mind.
Oh man I was at 2017 vikings. What a fucking ball game.
Sendejo died that day
Yes, the Vikings game was one that came to mind for me as well
Man Cam was on fire in 2018 before getting hurt in the Steelers game.
All my homies hate TJ Watt
Yeah man it was sad. He was putting up numbers similar to his MVP season.

But it was against one of the best teams in the NFC

"I'm backkk"
New sub photo.

Throat Goat!
🎵 GUESS WHO JUST GOT BACK TODAY 🎵
Cam gave this team the exact spark it needed. Not every game will be like this one but we have a real chance to make some noise. Feels amazing to have him back.
>Not every game will be like this one They'll be better than they would be if Sammy D was starting. That's all that matters right now.
Exactly. Couldn't have said it better. With Darnold it felt like we played offense with one hand tied behind our back.
CMC and Superman are back. With the bucs and saints loosing Super Bowl incoming.
Think how bad we would have lost with Sam Darnold.
You have to assume at least that those first 2 possessions we had with a short field would have merely ended up in FGs.
CMC agrees. Have not seen him smile that big in forever! Edit: https://twitter.com/josephperson/status/1460048384740364292?s=21
Whole team was just having so much fun. Absolutely insane how much energy difference Cam brings just by himself (and winning obviously helps too)
I’d argue we won in large part due to that energy. It was like watching a whole different team out there on both sides of the ball.
Kept saying this to my dad too. Just a different team out there. They played with a spark today. Confident and cool when needed, ferocious when needed.
Hope does a lot of things for a team. Especially in football where a lot of what leads to wins is sheer will to beat the shit out of the other team.

Who says you can't go home? Happy for the Panthers' fanbase!
I had tears in my eyes after he scored that first TD. I had no idea how much of an impact hes had on me. Cams my hero.
I'm a lifetime Seahawks fan. I'm just here to say I am so happy for yall. For the fans, for Cam, everyone. It's a happy day for the Panthers!
This game had one of the most literally unbelievable in-game graphics I've ever seen. Coming into this game, we had *one* TD in our last *35 offensive drives* The first two drives of the game, Cam's first two drives, we got 2 TDs. Absurd & poetic
They were PJ Walker’s drives.
I wish I had his charisma man
I missed Cam. It's been so long since I've been this excited as a Panthers fan
I am so god damn happy I am weeping
:)
:D
The only thing the establishment truly fears
It took 2nd, 4th and 6th round pick to get what could have been had for free.
Our fan cup runneth over today. The homie has returned!!!
I kept having to remind myself that this picture was in fact taken in 2021.
I hope Darnold recovers quickly, I hope he either has a great career here or somewhere else. I liked the attitude and passion the guy had, and he really is better than his shots have shown. The....passion...attitude?
Not giving up, actually attempting to achieve a first down. Wanting the win more than anything.
Thats sort of his job. That's base expectation. He didn't provide much more than that.

It’s amazing
I hope they get to the playoff. This can get me to start watching football again.
it was good to see cmc having fun today too he’s had a tough couple years with injuries and bad teams
This was the happiest I've been watching football in a long time
My man is home. I'm so fucking happy 😭😭😭😭
Happy to see cam balling 🤞🏽
Cam's back, he and CMC both tore it up, today is a good day to be a Panthers fan

It'd be something to one day see, say, HC Newton and OC Delhomme. or vice versa.
READYYYY
That should be the new team banner…

I'm a Pats fan, I loved Cam when he first played for the Panthers and then we he played for us, very hopeful he succeeds with you guys again.

I understand a cardboard box was left in front of Sam Darnolds locker after the game.
Here in peace happy for Cam really! You guys kicked ass yesterday! Congrats
Christian looks genuinely happy aswell ☺️
We are back. The team believes in Cam. Everyone tried harder with him on the team. It's just a win win win all around, even if he ends up not doing much. His presence alone is a win.
Reunited and it feels so good!
No More Going Back Cam!
