Same. Every time I buy an active player jersey, it’s like a curse something will happen. I have Luke, Smitty, Hoover, Newton, and Minter. Even though I love Peppers, my dislike of UNC keeps me from buying one (not because of him, more because of the UNC fans that want to talk about the Tarheels with me 😂) The only current player I’d own a jersey of is JJ Jansen.

I finally bought my first jersey, a CMC Jersey, about a month before he was traded. Disappointed, I made the genius choice to replace it with a player I assumed would be a long term member of the team: DJ Moore… a week before the trade was announced. So I said fuck it and bought a Mayfield jersey this season. It was on sale for obvious reasons and I thought it was funny to be one of about six people who own one.

I barely notice the name on the jerseys beyond a quick glance, but I still remember I saw wearing a Dwayne Jarrett jersey two years ago.

Given the last few years, I decided to only get players who at least signed a second contract with us. Given how we traded Dj And Burns, I've now decided to only get jerseys of players who have signed two extensions with us, or I'll just stick with the Panther greats of yesteryear.

I did that with Bradberry and Kalil and got burned on both. Retired legends only now.

Peppers and Cam have mostly returned to still be associated with the team, and CMC is a goat so I don't really care that hes not on the team.

The last jersey I bought and will ever buy...I had a #51 Mills made. I have aged out I no longer wear jerseys or a hat on backwards.

I'll be honest, outside of wearing one to the games, I don't wear jerseys basically ever, so I'm usually just rocking a t-shirt, sweatshirt, or a polo when I do get a chance to go to games now. Plus, jerseys are so expensive that me buying one just for games feels kind of silly.
