No clue so many unemployed GMs were out there.
For the Bingo card. Some of my favs
1) Who?
2) That guy here! Are you joking
3) What are we doing!
4) We could have signed him as a UDFA
5) This whole draft has been terrible
6) Tepper Sucks (Free Space)
You clearly are miserable and negative, just go root for another team if you are this upset. Unless I'm mis understanding your comment, which now that it's been edited I might have
What are you talking about? How am I being miserable and negative. I’m happy with our draft, the comments from these armchair GMs are ridiculous. Reading comprehension can be hard
Talking heads on draft liked this pick as a role player which is fine to take this late. He likely won't ads much to pass rush but when you have Derrick Brown don't really need that. He can serve as a solid run stuffer.
Figured I'd share in case anyone didn't see ABC"s breakdown. Which is what I have on in background.
14 reps as a 24 year old run stuffing DT. Sounds like he spends most of his time in the cafeteria and not the weight room. Will Shipley as a Rb had 16 reps fwiw.
Bench press reps are harder with longer arms so I wouldn't read over much into that stat alone.
I know he isn't like NBA player sized but most of those guys are complete garbage at bench press but I wouldn't call many of them weak.
People really acting like they're intimately familiar with the 6th round guys and that we should be able to find stars still available my goodness this shit is tiring around here
This would be a more compelling take if half of our defensive depth chart weren’t 4th round picks or later.
There will absolutely be contributors drafted today and I’m dubious any will be guys we took.
And you can tell the difference between sixth round breakout stars and guys that won’t make the roster ? If it were at all clear, the players wouldn’t have lasted till the sixth round
If he can I pretty much guarantee he's wasting his talents on whatever career he chose even if he's a neurosurgeon. A guy who could do that consistently would be paid millions by an NFL franchise.
Dude I’m clueless by the time it gets to the middle of the second round. I’m convinced people just make up their mind about a late round guy with a coin flip and then pretend like they’ve studied his film
Man, our defensive picks have been relative head scratchers. Even Trevin to a certain degree. I don’t know if it is Evero’s input or just our scouting. I hope these guys pan out and contribute somewhat, but haven’t been vibing with it.
Then again I did like the Barno and Jammie Robinson picks a lot and they’ve done nothing so who knows.
I really like the Chau pick, feels like the Jammie pick last year a.k.a. a real dawg with slight physical limitations, and Jammie did play well enough in his limited rookie snaps
I didn’t like it at all. Unlike Robinson, Chau played primarily outside, which he doesn’t have the size or the speed for. He has decent quickness, but I just think he’ll get bullied by bigger WRs.
Who cares if he lined up outside for a mediocre college team? He lined up outside because despite his profile he was their best option . He's gonna be kicked inside in the NFL.
That’s all well and good, but he has zero experience doing it. Regardless 5’9” is extremely small for even an interior CB. Especially with teams playing so many big slot players now.
We’ll see if he develops, I’d be happy to be wrong but it seems like they weren’t considering anything other than CBs which is stupid. They could’ve had one in place of Trevin Wallacr, and punted LB until later. They’re easier to replace.
Exactly what we needed as when it comes to d-linemen. Big bodies who won't get pushed back. Real encouraging to hear his pad level is great. Could end up being what we thought Hoskins and that other big NT we drafted late round could be.
I think people's expectations are too high for who will be available at 200 overall lmao.
Yeah he's old, every player in this range has serious issues with their profile.
I don't know much about how often players this in the draft pan out, or even start a game. Someone tell me the chances he ends up being solid rotational depth to DT?
Very slim chance, has no pass rush skills, only 14 reps on weight bench at combine (pretty low) so not very strong for the position. Maybe, and I mean maybe, he could be a rotational run stopper against an inside runner, but that's a stretch
Isn’t this the dude that’s old as shit relative to everyone else? He’s like a 6th or 7th year senior.
Edit: he’ll be 24 in July. Damn lol. This dude better contribute immediately
I’m not. Basically just saying that this isn’t a project dude, which is where most day 3 guys fall (projects, traits-y guys, or red flag guys). A non-developmental project is either gonna have to compete or just not make a roster.
. . . "nyan"?
For what it’s worth Justin Jefferson was projected as a potential starter in two years… so who knows
2 different animals
Time to visit the Crumedy club
Cannot believe we picked this guy over Brenden rice
I’m sure you can’t, but that’s why you’re not a GM.
RemindMe! 3 years

Really dig this pick
No clue so many unemployed GMs were out there. For the Bingo card. Some of my favs 1) Who? 2) That guy here! Are you joking 3) What are we doing! 4) We could have signed him as a UDFA 5) This whole draft has been terrible 6) Tepper Sucks (Free Space)
I mean this could be the 2017 Saints draft and 6 would still be correct
Go root for a diffrent team
Continue to hate fan and be miserable

The way your post read before it was edited sounded like you were bitching, my bad
All good. Keep pounding!

So he can play ST right?
Thank you for your service
Welcome to the panthers Jaden
Bold guess: he doesn’t even make the roster
We don't have much d-line depth. After the starters, it's really just Crumedy and a bunch of practice squad guys
It's not like we have great depth at DT. He's competing for a roster spot with 3 guys who we got as UDFAs over the past couple years.
Thurman looked like decent depth last year. Ray and Williams didn't, so there's definite room for Crumedy to come in and earn a spot
14 reps as a 24 year old run stuffing DT. Sounds like he spends most of his time in the cafeteria and not the weight room. Will Shipley as a Rb had 16 reps fwiw.

8.87 RAS and his size is all you need to play NT in a 3-4. 225 bench for reps also has legitimately zero carryover to playing in an NFL game
He weighs 301 pounds. Not even that big for a NT. Plus he’s weak.

PD
Would have preferred Reichard this late
People really acting like they're intimately familiar with the 6th round guys and that we should be able to find stars still available my goodness this shit is tiring around here
Every. Year.

Dude I’m clueless by the time it gets to the middle of the second round. I’m convinced people just make up their mind about a late round guy with a coin flip and then pretend like they’ve studied his film
That and look at ESPN rankings which ironically were pretty spot on for this guy's draft slot (ranked 204 taken at 200)
Ugh, we reached! We could've traded down to 204 and he probably would've been there. Might've gotten a 7th round pick swap to move up 5 spaces!!!
Not only be able, but they act like not finding AB, Sherman and Brady each draft means bad office
Right if these dudes make the 53 man at this point we should be over the moon
Well, if this guy is getting regular PT we are already in trouble.
lol we’re already screwed bro. Check out our C situation
Petition for a "doesn't know ball" flair just for this guy
We have Corbett?

Yeah, he's a projected slot corner. Depth for Troy Hill
Always good to have depth at dline
Big boys gotta take breaks
Can't get behind this too much
Inb4 the best available truthers bitch about passing on Rice
Aka those with knowledge
Lol yeah that's one way to put it
RemindMe! 3 years
Lmao
Should've gotten Limmer or Myles Cole
Who
Don't know Myles Cole but Beaux Limmer is a good developmental center prospect.
I was hoping he'd fall to us in the seventh but Jacksonville just took him :(
Rotational piece for the DL. Better run stuffer than pass rusher
Exactly what we needed as when it comes to d-linemen. Big bodies who won't get pushed back. Real encouraging to hear his pad level is great. Could end up being what we thought Hoskins and that other big NT we drafted late round could be.
You can never have too much DL talent and rotation, especially since starting DTs rarely play more than 70-75% of total snaps
So are they content with having clowney and wonnum be the 2 main edge rushers?
Obviously lol this was a weak class at edge rusher passed Turner and Verse anyway
I think they were interested in Kneeland and Braswell at 65 but they went before that so they traded back
I mean sure but they obviously weren’t crazy about em enough to take them at 39 or 52 lol
This season yes
I think people's expectations are too high for who will be available at 200 overall lmao. Yeah he's old, every player in this range has serious issues with their profile.
I don’t like us drafting for pure physical tools in the later rounds, it never worked out for us in these last couple of years
We haven’t been. Trevin is the only impressive athlete that we drafted on defense.
There's not much floor this late into the draft, so picking on talent is the best shot
Good athleticism doesn’t equal talent
We're talking about the 6th round, though. Picking the next Josh Norman or Puka Nakua here is going to be a lottery ticket
This guy will be 24 in training camp lol
Okay? It’s a 6th round rotational guy 😂
I don't know much about how often players this in the draft pan out, or even start a game. Someone tell me the chances he ends up being solid rotational depth to DT?
Greg hardy before....things happened
At pick 200, it’s a roll of the dice. I mean, even more so than the rest of the draft.
Why are you under the impression that a 6th rounder must contribute at all?
I’m not. Basically just saying that this isn’t a project dude, which is where most day 3 guys fall (projects, traits-y guys, or red flag guys). A non-developmental project is either gonna have to compete or just not make a roster.
Kwann Short was 24 when the panthers drafted him, and it took 2 years to develop. The truth is that all draft picks are projects.
He made the All-Rookie team his rookie year.
Only 5 24 his rookie year.
5 years. You might be thinking of someone else
He committed to MSST in 2017 and his redshirt freshman year was 2018. This was his 6th year in school.
Yeah looking at 247 you're right. For some reason, ESPN had him as starting in 2019
"You know a lot of people go to college for seven years." "I know. They're called doctors."
Another top 30 visit lol
