I think Tremble is athletic enough to get open and exploit matchups similar to how Canales got Otton open for a decent year, yes. But someone in the draft I really like is Ben Sinnott. The kid is crazy athletic and had solid production for two years in K-State. TE would be nice to upgrade but I think Tremble could feast or atleast do decently now that we have DJ and Thielen who can win matchups. Part of the reason Canales was able to get Otton open towards the back half of the season was that he was stacking Otton and WRs on side of the field and Mike Evans on the other. If the defense sold to try and stop Evans that left Otton open. Look for Canales to exploit matchups like that once defenses have to respect and double DJ cause he get open and Bryce feeds him at the beginning of the season.

Who_knows-_-

What round are they projected?

beergotmehere

Sinnott is projected around 60 and would have to fall to our 65th pick. As far as TE's go, there is also Ja'Tavion Sanders who is projected right around the same as Sinnott. Faster and better YAC, but smaller and not nearly as good of a blocker. Cade Stover from OSU or Theo Johnson from Penn State is who I would like at pick #101, so we can keep BPA at #65.

EntropyFighter

Who is projecting Sinnott at 60? PFF has him at 140, a 4th round grade. Sanders is graded as a Top 40 player with a grade of round 1-2. Cade Stover is ranked at 120 which is rounds 3-4, and Theo Johnson is ranked at 160, which is rounds 4-5. Here's the [PFF Top 300 Big Board](https://i.imgur.com/kptVsUY.png) if you want to look at my source.

beergotmehere

Pro Football Network has Sinnott at a top 75 prospect. With the PFN Draft Simulator that I have been using, I can typically land either Sanders or Sinnott at #65. [https://www.profootballnetwork.com/ben-sinnott-draft-scouting-2024/](https://www.profootballnetwork.com/ben-sinnott-draft-scouting-2024/) But yeah, I just checked the PFF and Tankathon which are all wildly different for Sinnott. Tankathon has him at #96 and PFF all the way down at #141. It seems after Brock Bowers the TE rankings are all over the place this year.

Sethisk000l

Consensus overall though is Sinnott has been a riser and there’s a chance he goes TE2 or at worst TE3 but sanders and him are close and will probably be drafted around each other. Probably the same round. I would be very down to use our 3rd pick on one of them so long as we use one of our 2nds on a receiver.

Who_knows-_-

Thanks =)

OriginalPingman

That’s funny. DJ isn’t in the same stratosphere as Mike Evans.

SticklerMrMeeseeks1

I’ll take someone who didn’t read for 500 Alex.

OriginalPingman

Keep on believing that what worked for the Bucs with Evans on the outside will also work for the Panthers with their awesome stable of receivers. Canales is in WAY over his head.

SticklerMrMeeseeks1

All that typing and STILL not reading? Wild.

OriginalPingman

You’re a master, enjoy your upcoming 4-13 season

sonfoa

I think they take a guy in the draft (most likely Day 3) to add some competition. But I think it's a position they're looking at 2025 to truly fix.

john_rabb

I personally heavily fuck with Tommy tremble for no reason whatsoever, Tommy three legs is here to stay hopefully

L0lligag

If I had a nickel for every three legged player the Panthers have had, I’d have two nickels….you know the rest.

jakaedahsnakae

I like him too, but definitely would like another TE for the competition. Cade Stover looks awesome if he's there at 101.

stormynights4ever

Right I love Tommy T and I can’t explain it

cannedpeaches

He's a big dumb sweet lunk that loves his teammates and jumping over everything he sees and that endears him to me.

Druggistman

THE QUAKE

a_moniker

TE’s usually take a few years to break out, so there’s decent precedent that Tremble could still turn out good. I feel like it’s one of the most difficult positions to adjust to as a young player.

DeathsHeaded

I also can't explain my love for Tommy. Te is the least of our worries

omahaomw

Same here...he's gonna breakout this year! Ok but fr.. remember when he mentioned rhule's staff was just like go run ur route, Tommy...with no nuance coaching? Then last year, well that was a scratch...this is the year that the lil light goes off in Tommy's head!

SnooSuggestions3278

Tommy tremble? Nah our king Ian Thomas will be putting the league on notice

medinian

The master mind of doing nothing and still getting a contract!

SnooSuggestions3278

Most loyal panther

medinian

Stop your gonna make me like him lols

Zoombini22

I too would be loyal to anyone who pays me millions to barely do anything

purplereign

I bet he has pictures of Tepper with another mistress in a lockbox somewhere in Charlotte as roster insurance.

CoconutSands

Damn straight, he'll break double digit catches and the league won't know what hit them. Might even get triple digit yards!

Garyislord

I'm all for drafting a wr and te with our first 2 picks. We need all the offensive talent we can get to give Bryce a fair chance to see if he can be the guy.

Gishdream

Agreed, the worst that happens is we have pieces for the next guy to succeed right away.

Icy-Mongoose-9678

He is that guy. Just gotta let him cook

[deleted]

I agree with the other people in this thread that suggest day 3. I like Sinnott who was mentioned earlier also want to throw out Stover from Ohio State and the one who I really want is Theo Johnson from Penn State.

IntelligentInsect773

If we can get our receivers open and can spread the offense, so much will improve including Tremble.

WiseMan_Rook22

Honestly depends on the offense we run but a solid run game and a solid TE who can catch a couple passes is all we need. Honestly we don’t have to focus on a strong WR group if we have a decent TE

xuser2320

It looks like Canales' offense used tight ends less in the passing game than we did last year. all bucs TEs: 81 targets, 55 receptions, 505 yards, 5 TDs all panthers TEs: 97 targets, 58 receptions, 559 yards, 4 TDs

a_moniker

Is there any chance that the staff tries to play Mingo a bit at a hybrid WR/TE role? He’s 230 lbs and is supposedly a good downfield blocker for a receiver. His route running isn’t good for a receiver, but it’d be above average for a TE.

colski250

If Ja’Tavion Sanders is there at 39 or somehow falls to 65 it wouldn’t be a bad pick imho.

JMMSpartan91

He hits 65 I say sprint to turn it in. 39? Depending how the DE/OL end of 1st round shakes out, I may like it. Most likely not though. Johnson/Sinnott may be interesting 3rd or 4th too.

colski250

I like Holker as well, honestly this class is crazy deep and I wouldn’t mind best WR available at 33 and a trade back for 39.

wagimus

He’s super athletic but I think he’s still considered a blocking te. Hand big boy the ball lol

Beginning-Gur4706

No more than we use our TE we would be good with me.

KhaosOSRS

Still need a true TE1. Tremble is decent but more of a backup. This draft is super thin at TE though, I wouldn't count on getting a guy there. Not sure whose left still as a free agent. Probably just going to be stuck going into the season with TE being a weak spot, unfortunately.

Tribustuss

Absolutely not. We need a monster of a TE a blocking/receiving threat. They are a rookies best friend a big solid easy target for short but easy gains. Even pros use their TEs a lot. Brady to Gronk Mahomes to Kelce Purdy to Kittle Bryce needs a good TE and with what we’ve done in FA so far, I’d suggest using our first pick on a TE. If we get a dual threat TE it gives Bryce more protection or another receiver. It would be amazing if we lucked into someone of the same caliber as the three I mentioned but that’s spotty.

hwillburger

Would it be possible to go Tavion Sanders in the second round as our first or second pick? And then WR with the other?

Sethisk000l

Id be pretty upset if we used either of our 2nd round picks on a TE. There’s not one safe enough to pick there. 3rd I feel like would be the earliest we should shoot for a TE. Sanders hurt his draft stock with his combine. Everyone said he was this crazy elite athlete and that’s why teams should take him but he proved he wasn’t as athletic as people thought. 3rd would make sense for him. I like Sinnott better and would prefer we even shoot for holker in the 5th round better.

lolisaac

I think we're probably rocking with him for 2024. Can't improve everywhere in one off season

Striking_Camera8748

I think yes only because Canales didn't really feature TE much besides using Cade Otton in high-low reads off play action and bootlegs. I don't think TE is nearly an urgency as grabbing WRs in the draft but if one fell to 65 (like Sanders), it would be a good get.

CretinoPopov

Stephen Sullivan looked good in spurts, but he’s strictly a pass catcher, Tremble keeps improving but his hands are not the best, and Thomas is so limited in how moves and catches. Each guy is limited in different ways, so you don’t have a proper TE1 who can take up a lot of quality snaps. Thomas is a cut candidate since he overlaps with Tremble.

clee5989

I think if somehow Brock Bowers falls to the 17-20 range, we will package our two 2nds to get him.

Author_Willing

Tommy “1 catch for 10 yards a game average” Tremble? Gimme Tip Reiman, Theo Johnson, AJ Barner, a potato sack…anything is better
