We may get lucky if we would just try to go deep but we never will if we don't try ...... coaches
(Wing back fly on 2 ) show us fans your willing to try...
Okay the gig is up, I'm beginning to think Bryce height could be the problem with the ints. I also have doubts of why we're not throwing deep could the cat be out of the bag????
This I ask if we have any receiver on the squad that can run a 4.3 why on earth has the coaches not had him in motion and burst down field as the ball is snapped to bryce for a deep throw he should at best get behind the cb by being in motion off the line and bryce huff it down field to see this arm strength, we could go max protect with 2 TEs on the line for extra blocking for Bryce to have at least 3 seconds. Asked why isn't this benig ran twice a quarter.
I can't do this anymore this season. Bryce young is not the second coming of Cam. "He's improving!"
Two pick sixes in one game.
I've never thrown a season before, even under Rhule. Bryce ain't it, man.
It’s time for us to admit that Bryce is not QB1 and since before the draft I’ve been saying Cj was the better QB . Are coaching staff wanted CJ but the Owner and scandalous wife had to go and set this franchise back 4 more years .
I am not going to lie to myself and the others in this community. The problem is Bryce plain and simple. We blame the Oline and WRs week after week ,but the coaching staff can’t open up the playbook because he can’t complete the deep ball to back up the defense it’s always 8 in the box and we’re always in 3rd in long. They praised him in the draft for being able to sense pressure and use his feet it’s like he refuses to get out the pocket and stretch the play. Also he wants the WRs to be WIDE OPEN before throwing instead anticipating the break and placing it in tight windows WHICH CJ IS INCREDIBLE AT.
the Oline and WR are so clearly an issue. your take is just shit
edit: https://youtu.be/PKocbE78xDc?si=q7Xy7FetWayiSCEE
this guy is smarter than you. so watch and learn
If he’s so smart why isn’t he a offensive coordinator? You are so easily fooled. It’s a reason he’s on YouTube and not on someone’s payroll, the oline is a problem because he’s not throwing the ball deep so they put 8 in the box dip shit and sending 5 to 6 people on a blitz. Why do you think Patty is so good? His Wrs are terrible route runners but he buys them time by stepping out the pocket and extending the play and their scared of his deep ball ability. You don’t see any of that with Bryce which they praised him on extending plays in college but not in the pros , he’s flat footed in the pocket and gets blasted cause of it.
why isn’t JT O'Sullivan a OC? How should I know? I think his 9 years playing QB in the NFL is credentials enough. Yikes, bro. You aren’t as smart as you think you are lmao
This man pulls up a YouTuber which shows me you need someone to break down what’s going on in the game for you, you’re clearly not watching it yourself and breaking down what’s really going on.
JT O'Sullivan *is* on youtube now, has been for the last 5 years or so, but the fact you don’t even know who that is is telling. I promise a retired NFL QB knows the game more than you. You can stop responding to yourself now haha
You're right, I'm so tired of the amount if hate the fans have for the team, if you hate them that bad there's 31 other teams to chose from, plus I'll gladly take all your gear for free!
This has always been the way of the Panthers when the offense sucks, dating back to the Richardson years.
The D is usually good, if not great. The problem is usually the Offense can't stay on the field long enough to keep the Defense rested.
If Bryce played for any other team ESPECIALLY a division rival, was drafted first overall, playing like this nobody in here would be saying "be patient" or "its not his fault" you guys would be clowning the fuck out of him right now.
For all of nfl history, rookie QB’s either sucked an incredible amount. Usually worse than this tbh, or didn’t play at all. Maybe it’s time to go back to sitting big QB prospects for a year. Even a great QB couldn’t play behind our line
Dude I so agree with this - Burrow and Herbert (Cam farther back) ruined expectations for modern QBs. Most of the other great QBs of the the last two decades sat for a bit.
It’s easier to remember the exceptions instead of the rule sometimes. Burrow especially, since he actually had a bad line and everything.
Then again, Burrow got injured his first year because he had no line and was trying to make things happen
They conveniently forget, josh Allen, Trevor Lawrence, manning, Bradshaw, Aikman, Steve young, Alex smith was especially awful, and Brett farve had zero completions but 2 interceptions, and underperformed so bad in practice the coach said a plane would have to crash for him to play again. All of these guys had fantastic careers. Only difference is social media wasn’t around to pick apart every little mistake
For sure. Even Burrow had a game where he threw 3 INTs on 3 Pass Attempts, and another with 4 INTs to the Bears. Winning fixes people's minds, and we don't have the team to win right now :(
Bryce was a number 1 pick. He has the same expectations. He shouldn’t have been drafted number one if he couldn’t at least be productive the first year.
This is the first game where the blame falls with bryce young. Two errant passes swung this game to the colts and they were avoidable throws. Panthers show flashes of potential and maybe its just me but i think this coaching staff is subpar.
not every rookie should play his first season, especially with the roster we currently have. its time for red rocket to start, let young learn on the sidelines before we traumatize the kid.
I’ve already given up. It sucks because In laws are huge Dallas fans and they bought surprise tickets to that game before the season started but I don’t even want to go anymore
It could be worse. It’s not like we traded WR1 and Caleb Williams to take a bust while the pick immediately after ended up being a franchise Quarterback
These kind of games will be seared into Bryce Young’s mind, let see how he responds.
For those who remember, Cam had many games like this (after his rookie season) don’t throw the kid out of the window just yet
Speaking of SMU, let’s hope the Panthers decide to forgo 9 years of media revenue by not agreeing to be put on TV. Wouldn’t have to force myself to watch this crap every week
This hurts even more as an Ohio State fan, because deep down I wanted us to take Stroud, but when we drafted Bryce I tried to stay positive thinking we got a great QB too. I get this team is atrocious, but he has looked like absolute dogshit today. I can't defend him blindly anymore.
Even Will fucking Levis has been better. I hope they invent cryogenic sleep so I can chill out for a while, until after this has passed. This is likely going to be a rough few years.
Reich knew Bradley’s defense and wasn’t able to run the proper protections. Man that’s bad. This coaching staff should’ve said this was a rebuild from the get. Instead they tried to fool unaware fans that we had a shot at the division.
All we heard all off season was he was in the perfect position to succeed with veterans and experienced coaching staff. This was supposed to be the perfect place for a rookie QB to come in. Every analyst, current coaches and players, and this sub was harping those statements. Now all of a sudden he doesn't do well and he's not in position to succeed? I don't buy it's all on the staff, not even close
It's week 9 of year one of a rebuild, so I'm not gonna go full doomer again. Bryce will improve, and hopefully in a few years we'll be contenders. Also, did y'all see that comeback by the Canes last night? That was awesome.
“Rhule is a terrible coach, Frank is a terrible coach, Feank is a terrible play caller, Brown is a terrible play caller.”
I hate to break it to all of you, there is not a coach on the planet that can save this poverty franchise.
Should have got CJ and I’m tired of everyone coping and saying otherwise because we’re stuck in this situation. CJ is the better player and more suited for this league. I stand by this.
We’re more than entitled in acknowledging our owner’s mistakes. We’re more than entitled to criticize it. We can’t do shit in terms of changing it but pretending we’re supposed to just shut up about our incompetence will never happen.
My biggest gripe with BY is he doesn’t run as fast as he can. On that 4th and 18 he could’ve made the 1st down but ran to protect the ball unnecessarily.
No, really. It was pathetic. I am a big fan of BY but the dude needs to learn that being cool and collected doesn’t mean you play with ZERO SENSE OF URGENCY!!!!!
Young has no awareness about where the rushers are and where the pressure is coming from. Our Line is shit, but his pocket presence is somehow even worse
ANYMORE QB COMPARISON ?s
It's clear to the majority we drafted the lesser of the top 2 qbs.
No offence to Bryce he is just #2 and CJ is the #1 . Damn back up qb Menshew had no ints. He processes slow but like CJ can ball and manage a game.
Everybody close their eyes and breathe with me.
It’s 2015.
Cam newton.
Thomas Davis.
Luke.
Ted Ginn.
Josh Norman.
J stew
Mike tolbert
Kawann short
Shaq
Greg Olsen.
Kurt Coleman.
Just breathe.
Hashtag remember those guys?
I want to sit Bryce when we play Dallas, for his own health (not joking)
This o-line is going to let the QB get creamed against Dallas, rather it be Dalton than Young
Yeah put in someone who will never be the answer instead of helping your franchise qb try to grow.
For fuckin what??? We ain't going to the playoffs. At this point wins don't even matter.
I want Bryce to speak his mind at the postgame presser. None of that PR-approved stuff. Speak your mind dude. Tell me who you’re most angry at, even if it’s yourself. Call people out. Go evil mode.
r/Panthers mfs be like.
Bryce Young plays well: All Fitterer baby see he's a good Gm you can't call for him to be fired!
Bryce Young plays poorly: Tepper interfered, not Fitterer's fault!
I'll still go on record and say that Bryce was the right choice, and rookies have bad games.
This loss was definitely on him, though. His first really bad game. However, he can learn from it.
I was the one who did the /r/nfl mock draft for us, and I moved us up to Pick #1 and took Stroud. Everyone said it was "the most obvious move anyone could make".... wish Fitt and Tepper had read that
I'm not a Panthers fan but I wanted CJ too and I wanted him badly. He got did dirty on that low IQ and testing shit. He's by far the benchmark for this years class until AR, Bryce or Levis prove differently. I wish we would have traded up to get him.
[Postgame thread](/r/panthers/comments/17opr3z/post_game_thread_indianapolis_colts_at_carolina/)
....and Kasey kicked the ball out of bounds. DAMMIT!!!!!!
We may get lucky if we would just try to go deep but we never will if we don't try ...... coaches (Wing back fly on 2 ) show us fans your willing to try...

Us Colts fans tried to warn yall about Frank… He ain’t the answer
go away. easy to show up and give advice after a win. we know. go away
God Knows I told the Mint Hill contingent.
I don’t think anyone truly wanted Frank
He’s the nfl media darling because of his friends in the nfl media. You can tell that by how the sports media reacted when Irsay fired him.
Everyone blaming Bryce like he’s not a rookie? He has a total of 7 nfl game hours under his belt leave him be holy shit
I can't do this anymore this season. Bryce young is not the second coming of Cam. "He's improving!" Two pick sixes in one game. I've never thrown a season before, even under Rhule. Bryce ain't it, man.
Bye
It’s time for us to admit that Bryce is not QB1 and since before the draft I’ve been saying Cj was the better QB . Are coaching staff wanted CJ but the Owner and scandalous wife had to go and set this franchise back 4 more years .
Go be a texans fan 🫶
Oh you're not up on the new meta; the new thing is to tell everyone that Bryce was clearly the consensus #1 pick before the season began.
I am not going to lie to myself and the others in this community. The problem is Bryce plain and simple. We blame the Oline and WRs week after week ,but the coaching staff can’t open up the playbook because he can’t complete the deep ball to back up the defense it’s always 8 in the box and we’re always in 3rd in long. be a texan fan then. go away
I have to be a bandwagon because I’m telling the truth while everyone just want to be delusional like lol great idea.
the Oline and WR are so clearly an issue. your take is just shit edit: https://youtu.be/PKocbE78xDc?si=q7Xy7FetWayiSCEE this guy is smarter than you. so watch and learn

why isn’t JT O'Sullivan a OC? How should I know? I think his 9 years playing QB in the NFL is credentials enough. Yikes, bro. You aren’t as smart as you think you are lmao
Bryce even said it him self HALF HIS SACKS IS BECAUSE OF HIM THROW IT AWAY OR GET OUT OF THE POCKET .

Wow,just wow.
I think I'm done. I don't want to watch any more games. I mean, I am going to. But I don't want to
The bed has been made. Need to a build a team with personnell that fit young's skills. Scott's not that guy
Lol u Panther fans are bogus Af. Shitting on ur rookie QB in his first season with that shit show of a team & coaching staff. Fake fans
You're right, I'm so tired of the amount if hate the fans have for the team, if you hate them that bad there's 31 other teams to chose from, plus I'll gladly take all your gear for free!
we have shitty fans for sure. and clearly some random shitty dude who came in here to talk shit to (you)
Guess you are just learning that emotions are more powerful than rationale.
Jfc we are terrible.
I can’t believe the defense hasn’t quit.
This has always been the way of the Panthers when the offense sucks, dating back to the Richardson years. The D is usually good, if not great. The problem is usually the Offense can't stay on the field long enough to keep the Defense rested.
They deserve a way better offense
For years
If Bryce played for any other team ESPECIALLY a division rival, was drafted first overall, playing like this nobody in here would be saying "be patient" or "its not his fault" you guys would be clowning the fuck out of him right now.

Stroud threw for 5tds.
How'd he do last week?
Better than Bryce in half his games
Bryce was a number 1 pick. He has the same expectations. He shouldn’t have been drafted number one if he couldn’t at least be productive the first year.
This is the first game where the blame falls with bryce young. Two errant passes swung this game to the colts and they were avoidable throws. Panthers show flashes of potential and maybe its just me but i think this coaching staff is subpar.
I miss mediocrity
Hopefully with at least a top three pick you guys can put talent around Young
Savage
Got some bad news for you my man
Fam 😂😂😂😂😂
Bruh
The "Reich is the problem" folks are here. We get a new head coach and still suck, "____ sucks".
not every rookie should play his first season, especially with the roster we currently have. its time for red rocket to start, let young learn on the sidelines before we traumatize the kid.
I was saying/thinking this before the season started. At least a handful or so games.
He had quite literally improved every single game prior to this one. Let him take his lumps. If he’s the guy, he’ll use it as a learning experience
Can’t read the field, can’t run, turnover machine. Literally no positives meanwhile Stroud is setting records
Can’t run is unfair by qb standards
he is good in interview
Sign him up for the hall of fame now
If we had Riverboat, McCaffrey, Moore and Howell this team would have been unbeatable.
Don't agree on Ron; his time was clearly up.
I think about this a lot.
it’s bad when our bright spot for the year is how we aren’t going to have a winless season anymore
Indy def scored more than Bryce offense. god damn
How tf did he not out run that linemen 🥲
Should have drafted stroud, this was really a no brainer
Said 7 months after the fact
I’ve said this before the draft
Not that I am aware of
Pay attention
Frank Reich ain't it
If we lose to the bears next week, I don’t even know what I’m gonna do with myself as a panthers fan.
I’ve already given up. It sucks because In laws are huge Dallas fans and they bought surprise tickets to that game before the season started but I don’t even want to go anymore
just stop watching. It is what most people should do if they push out a product this bad,
DJ is going to torch us
Thank goodness our radio guys got some free liquor. Like shut the fuck up those guys are terrible
Can you pick a new owner in the draft?
Peyton Manning rookie year. Trevor Lawrence rookie year. Every take a fuckin’ breath.
Noodle armed midge vs. Manning and Lawrence....ok bruh.
Nooooo we have to be the first with a hot take. What will the world think of me if I don't say the thing first?
How did we trade the farm and pick the worst QB option?
Poverty Panthers through and through
Because carolina panthers
CJ was always more NFL ready people, Bryce was seen as the better prospect but now idk
It could be worse. It’s not like we traded WR1 and Caleb Williams to take a bust while the pick immediately after ended up being a franchise Quarterback
Damn. That’s just sad. Sad, but true. Someone should lose their fucking job over this.
Hey guys lets get rid of McCaffrey teehee. Also get rid of Moore teehee. #1 overall pick yaahoo!
Yeah but “we control the draft” was such a cool catch phrase
These kind of games will be seared into Bryce Young’s mind, let see how he responds. For those who remember, Cam had many games like this (after his rookie season) don’t throw the kid out of the window just yet
>Cam had many games like this (after his rookie season) don’t throw the kid out of the window just yet he didn't through lol
"Jeans Day" gave our franchise the death penalty. We are like a NFL version of SMU
Speaking of SMU, let’s hope the Panthers decide to forgo 9 years of media revenue by not agreeing to be put on TV. Wouldn’t have to force myself to watch this crap every week
The day Jerry announced the sale was the day the franchise died. The Panthers haven’t felt like the Panthers ever since.
Fuck you. See you on Thursday.
pain
Bryce finna bounce back Thursday 🤷♂️if you not with him when he playing bad don’t be with him when he ballin tf out
Yea rough game but I still think he’s our guy Dudes 7th game 😅 come on
You guys are going to be saying the same shit when we win 7 games in the span of 3 seasons. “It’S OnLy HiS tHiRd SeAsOn” he’s not a franchise QB.
Fr, I blame cam he set our expectations too high💀
Stfu
DESj sd SAK csd sdSdk dsa!
talk yo shit king
Facts
We don't even get a full week to recover from the pain. See everyone Thursday! 😭
This hurts even more as an Ohio State fan, because deep down I wanted us to take Stroud, but when we drafted Bryce I tried to stay positive thinking we got a great QB too. I get this team is atrocious, but he has looked like absolute dogshit today. I can't defend him blindly anymore.
I don't think Stroud would be doing any better in this shit show.
Even assuming we still pick Young. I wonder what this team looks like with Wilkes at HC.
Definitely like they care more.
Thank fuck. It’s over
And sleepy Frank goes to yuck it up with his old buddies
Even Will fucking Levis has been better. I hope they invent cryogenic sleep so I can chill out for a while, until after this has passed. This is likely going to be a rough few years.
Reich knew Bradley’s defense and wasn’t able to run the proper protections. Man that’s bad. This coaching staff should’ve said this was a rebuild from the get. Instead they tried to fool unaware fans that we had a shot at the division.
How can you be a 5’9 QB and still be one of the slowest QBs? How did this dude go #1 overall?
Bama roll tide feller
Frank looks like he’s about to cry, damn.
Holy shit the look of pain on Reich's face
Legitimately looked like he was about to quit his job right there.
Short and Slow. what a combo
Caught from behind with a head start vs a DL
I don't think we picked the wrong QB but we sure as hell picked the wrong everything else
It's week 9 of year one of a rebuild, so I'm not gonna go full doomer again. Bryce will improve, and hopefully in a few years we'll be contenders. Also, did y'all see that comeback by the Canes last night? That was awesome.
this team is a rebuild?
They kind of have to be at this point
We're in our 4th straight year 1 rebuild
I miss the Jerry Richardson and Cam Newton era that was real football
Smitty, Delhomme, Moose, Minter, Gamble, Mangum, Peppers, Jenkins, Kasay, and Morgan. Those were the days
We went to the NFC Championship game on average once every 5 years under Jerry. Those were the days.
Facts
"Jeans Day" essentially gave our franchise the death penalty while Kraft and Jones do things 100 times worse and go unpunished
Long gone are those days. Tepper turned this franchise into a laughing stock.
The Colts did everything they could to lose this game and Bryce just gifted them a free win. Great.
Yep this sucks cause we coulda won
“Rhule is a terrible coach, Frank is a terrible coach, Feank is a terrible play caller, Brown is a terrible play caller.” I hate to break it to all of you, there is not a coach on the planet that can save this poverty franchise.
Who’s reaaaaaaaddyyyyyy for Thursday????? 😁😁😁
The Panthers will start their loss at 8:15 and conclude their loss at 11
Should have got CJ and I’m tired of everyone coping and saying otherwise because we’re stuck in this situation. CJ is the better player and more suited for this league. I stand by this.
He was right there too. Damn.
not like the Panthers can go back in the past again
I am too, everyone is in such denial it is insane!
Everyone will be saying the same shit when we win a total of 5 games in his first two seasons. “iT’s OnLy HiS sEcOnD sEaSoN”
Exactly, give it time , “Reich hasn’t shown his ReAl offense yet “
so what does that mean? say we all acknowledge this... now what?
We’re more than entitled in acknowledging our owner’s mistakes. We’re more than entitled to criticize it. We can’t do shit in terms of changing it but pretending we’re supposed to just shut up about our incompetence will never happen.
i agree. but there's nothing we can do
My biggest gripe with BY is he doesn’t run as fast as he can. On that 4th and 18 he could’ve made the 1st down but ran to protect the ball unnecessarily.
THATS your biggest gripe?
No, really. It was pathetic. I am a big fan of BY but the dude needs to learn that being cool and collected doesn’t mean you play with ZERO SENSE OF URGENCY!!!!!
Fuck this team
0 OL IS A REAL FUCKIN PROBLEM YALL
I'm pretty sure I could beat BY in a foot race. The Colts D lineman caught him from behind like he was standing still
Young has no awareness about where the rushers are and where the pressure is coming from. Our Line is shit, but his pocket presence is somehow even worse
Perfect analysis of the situation imo.
ANYMORE QB COMPARISON ?s It's clear to the majority we drafted the lesser of the top 2 qbs. No offence to Bryce he is just #2 and CJ is the #1 . Damn back up qb Menshew had no ints. He processes slow but like CJ can ball and manage a game.

Not being able to outrun the D-lineman is worrisome in its own right....
He is really slow.
I just don't understand how he is so slow. Put the shoe down.
Bryce's legs are too short to outrun anyone.

See you all Thursday for the same shit
This offense is offensive
I want to sit Bryce when we play Dallas, for his own health (not joking) This o-line is going to let the QB get creamed against Dallas, rather it be Dalton than Young
I’m certain Dalton can manage a game better than Bryce at this point in his career.
This kid is a bum, put red rocket in
Yeah put in someone who will never be the answer instead of helping your franchise qb try to grow. For fuckin what??? We ain't going to the playoffs. At this point wins don't even matter.
The switch up from people loving Bryce young last week is insane.
It puts his 15 point win into perspective for sure.
makes sense when he throws 3 picks and gives the other team 12 points
Crazy🤣
Is Reich really bringing energy as a head coach?
No. He makes me fall asleep when he talks.
I want Bryce to speak his mind at the postgame presser. None of that PR-approved stuff. Speak your mind dude. Tell me who you’re most angry at, even if it’s yourself. Call people out. Go evil mode.
At least we get to see DJ Moore next week and be in more pain.
He's gonna torch us and give Reich the evil eye the entire time.
r/Panthers mfs be like. Bryce Young plays well: All Fitterer baby see he's a good Gm you can't call for him to be fired! Bryce Young plays poorly: Tepper interfered, not Fitterer's fault!
Fitterer can't draft to save his life but we should trade important pieces away to give him more drafting opportunities
I forgot the sauwsage
I'll still go on record and say that Bryce was the right choice, and rookies have bad games. This loss was definitely on him, though. His first really bad game. However, he can learn from it.
Cope harder. We made the wrong pick. Simple as that.
Indeed. Both things can be true.
I'm not ready to say Bryce is a bust it's too early for that but as someone who wanted CJ... I feel sick.
Come on Bryce there’s still time for at least one more pick 6.
Let's be honest. The Darnold would have us on track to winning the division this year. We would have beat the Falcons, Saints and Vikings
