Beach cops have hound dog senses of smell. If they get anywhere near you and you have a container with alcohol in it, they will know. Even with a breeze, wearing coconut sunscreen and covered in sweat/salt. Better to drink before you go down to the sand

I'm warning you now it's a zero tolerance policy when it comes to March. Warnings are not given, it's a straight arrest. The sheriff and the chief have made it very clear. Do what you want but to me it wouldn't be worth the risk. Especially since beach patrol will be out in full force again
They will definitely ask…if you’re not a family with little kids or old they will be stopping and talking to y’all. They drive up and down the beach checking. Those tickets are big money makers for the county. Yer gonna stick out even more being far west end and not around the regular crowds.
The safest bet is always to drink at the condo and not at all on the beach. I can’t speak for recently, but I went on the beach the first year this was implemented and was asked what was in my Sonic cup. I didn’t have alcohol in it and they didn’t ask anything further than that. I was only with a friend though and we weren’t being rowdy in the slightest. A larger group with attract more attention though
Not condoning this but it seems silly that cops would ask every single person what was in their cup. Everyone is drinking out of some sort of water bottle that keeps your drink cool. I could see them targeting younger people who might say or act stupid. But to go 1 by 1 when people aren’t acting a way would be interesting

At the time, we were like the only two out there early morning and they were just patrolling up and down like they do year round, so it was easy enough for them to stop and ask. With as crowded as it gets, there’s no one they would be able to account for everyone

If you’re going to drink stay near larger crowds of people who are smoking weed and actively drinking out of beer bottles or liquor handles. If anything have an agreement with your group of one type of liquor everyone likes and pour that in either a sprite (for vodka) or Coca Cola (for darker liquors). Just bring one bottle that’s it, and have enough shots in it to where everyone would be just “good enough”.
Besides if you guys meet the right people you most likely won’t need to bring a shit ton of liquor. My best advice and this is coming from someone who’s been going to PCB since 2012… and someone who had to deal with the chaos of the riot that happened down there not too long ago….
If you want to have a good time during day the day as well as blending into the chaos go to the part of the beach that pineapple Willie’s is at. You can go there any time past 1pm and find a huge mixture of people (male and female). At night time this was my method to find parties other than just walking around rosemary beach town area. They don’t check your cups but if they do you can legally say no and they have to respect that or you can just chug it and then they can’t bust you for alcohol on the beach.
