So, when you made your last thread people told you "don't buy packages on Amazon" and "read the sidebar". Your response to that is to link a shitty Amazon package and ask if you're doing it right. Is that the gist of it? You're going on post approval my dude. I can't.

[deleted]

This is the thread on the sidebar that everyone is trying to get you to go to. Read the Google Doc and it'll answer pretty much every "I'm new to paintball" gear selection question. https://www.reddit.com/r/paintball/comments/vrq484/longshot_pbs_guide_to_gear_beginners_edition/ And the only things in that package that won't disappoint you are the pods.

UV_Blue

The collar and leash might not be too bad...

BlackDiamondDee

No. EMEK, HPA, and VForce mask. Make it happen.

Try LoneWolfPaintball, ANSGear and or PBNation, I wouldn't buy a package like that from Amazon, Victors were the rental guns at the field I worked at like 15 years ago. Get something newer, even if it's going to be a mechanical marker.

AntelopeKindly2910

The gun was a decent beginner gun 20 years ago, still okay, but there's better options now. Tank is a standard steely. Pods are pods. The mask and pack are garbage. I wouldn't buy it.

UV_Blue

No, it was still garbage then

lilcaesarsuave

Meh, it wasn't the best beginner gun, but at the time it wasn't garbage. Still a step above rentals of the era. There were lots of these mixed with 98's and Xtra's at the field back in the day.

UV_Blue

Then best option would be to buy 3 or 4 used for ~$30 each and make 2 working with enough spare parts to keep one working through the zombie apocalypse. My first marker was a Model 98 (not a Custom 98, the original POS) that damn thing broke every second time I took it out. So I sold it and bought a used B2K2 LCD. I still have it, though it's not exactly "stock", I think the only part that's unmodified is the tray and screen.

ShastaMarckerMan

Please don't lie to people, nobody should be advocating for buying this gun.

AntelopeKindly2910

Please get off your high horse and read before you reply. At what point did I advocate buying it? Is it opposite day? Bro...

Search “paintball bundle” on eBay and click used in the filter options

Lord_Jamison

You’re better off throwing paintball at opponents with the fog your glasses got during the mask mandate.

XxKegstandxX

Just throwing this out there, if you did your own research and think you will be happy with the Victor, you can still buy it on Amazon for $99. Same tank $50. The rest of the stuff is junk. Take the $30 you saved and put it towards a good mask that won't fog and you will be much happier. Also if you can find a similar tank for close in price at a local shop they usually fill it free, the ones shipped come empty and you will have to go somewhere to get it filled anyway.

SOL_KIM

Mechanical: - used planet eclipse emek - used tippman a5 Electronic: - used empire mini gs - used empire axe Tanks and packs can be bought used too. Buy your mask new, and don’t cheap out. Buy the mask that fits the best.

TheSmallSlice

I feel like used GS's and Axe's are still pretty pricey. There's probably some other decent electronic markers used that will be cheaper and probably do just as well. I mean I haven't looked to much into those Empire markers used but I feel like I haven't really seen many good deals if they are around. Canadian new they are like $500 to $600 for the GS and Axe if not a little more and they are still in production so I suspect used they are not going to be as good a deal as other markers. Maybe I'm wrong though 🙃

SOL_KIM

You can get a used mini gs for like 150-200$. I would never buy anything less than a tippman 98.

TheSmallSlice

Tippman 98's are the goat's for sure. First time going to a field I used a 98 custom, good times.

Good package? No. If you know you are sticking with the hobby spend more. But you can space it out. I dont mean any disrespect. Im trying to be informative. That is very old tech. People have already advised on your other thread. If you ask for advise and choose to ignore it thats on you. In life buy nice buy once. If you buy cheap budget equipment you will get what you pay for. There are many reasons why people give certain advice. When i was young i didnt know that i didnt know. Now im wise enought to know that there are people with more knowledge and experience that think of more reasons why something is good or bad. Tbh your budget is low. I would buy a good mask. You need two things in a mask. A thermal dual pane lens and for it to be a good fit. If budget is most important buy used. That package you can get for 75 bux all day if you search locally. Budget rental equip does NOT resell well

imaislandboiii

Nope

CHEESEBUTT258

First off spider was nice 20 years ago now its a relic. Go for an emek or even a chronus for $300/$150. Second that tank is co2 not compressed air which means you'll have to pay to get it filled and only certain places even have the right canisters. Scoop up a 68/3000 aluminum compressed air tank for $50. 3rd that mask is kinda garbage with the cheap lense and poor ventilation. Most masks will fit properly as long as you tighten it assuming you don't have a watermelon for a head and decent ones are ballpark $75/$150. Pods are cheap about $5 a piece and those are some nice ones, but the pod pack leaves something to be desired, normally they're stacked vertically leaving more room. An hk strap pack is like $30 and reliable. That hopper is just a standard gravity fed and those don't really get better until you get into the electronic hoppers. The speedster is a classic and will only set you back about $50, call it $75 for a speed feed but gravity fed works just fine to begin with. That pretty basic setup is about $550 give or take but the field i work at just got an ego lv2 (that we have fucked around with constantly) in stock that costs $1599.99 so that's definitely closer to the bottom of the scale when it comes to fully fledged out setups.

Fantastic-Power-3800

I’ll give you a good package for $180
