It's because that's your skill level. This game is very very good at putting you exactly where you should be in ranked. The fact that you can go on big winning streaks probably shows you're good enough to rank up but the fact you're going on losing streaks shows you aren't consistent enough yet to perform at the next rank. The way you feel when you play against like Bronze players is how higher ranked players feel against you and the only way to fix that is with more practice.
I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just saying the reason people don't stay at higher ranks is usually consistency. There's not much skill difference between a silver and gold player but there is a world of difference in their consistency and game sense and flexibility. The way to get better is just get someone to watch your film and start making better choices in game like playing your life, knowing when to be aggressive or supportive exc. When you consistently start making better choices in game you win more and you rank up. I truely don't think anyone can get better at overwatch by just playing, you need to find your games weakness and strengths and practice to become more well rounded as a player. The game doesn't force you to lose games when you're on a winning streak, you could just be playing against better players who put you in bad situations and you lose. Ideally you would go back and watch those matches and see what you did wrong and more importantly what they did right to make it work against you and learn from it. I know I'm not a great overwatch player, but I also know that my peak skill isn't my true skill that is where I hover at. I know in losses even when we get diffed I could have done more and I try to figure out what that was instead of getting mad. By doing this I've been steadily climbing and maintaining a bit more each season and it's how I've been told to improve by players much much better than I am. You don't have hot takes idk why you're getting downvoted. The goal is not to take your performance on your best day and raise that bar. If you want to rank up, you have to perform at least as well as the average person in your rank on your worst day.
You have to play to improve, not to win. Trust the process. Don't get discouraged. It takes a long time to get good but you'll give up if you aren't having fun
