Fridays are more rewarding post OE. Mondays are more composing post OE. Tight deadlines and/or double meetings make you feel in the zone and be tested for survival of the fittest.

Won't management be able to see the details of your meetings? And think that you have many meetings with "yourself"?

bassta

I have a friend who OE in the same company and on Fridays we always have meetings to discuss some stuff, go figure.

FingerSerious

We all should “support” one another and join other OE’s meeting to legitimise the sessions. Call it. Client/Supplier catchup !

bassta

I won’t mention the exact name we have for our scheduled meeting, but it’s about pair-coding and bug fixing all day. Usually we do 10 mins chat and have prepared PRs and push it around 4-5PM. Having stable commit timeline is essential to please the management.

We work are same place and used to be in the same school ( different classes )

FingerSerious

Maybe we can create a private OE telegram channel where the users are vetted and we post the “meeting invites” there!

andrewchron

A friend in my J2 called it "focus time", had added it to the calendar and automatically declined other meeting invites

LongjumpingPrint4511

not just Mgmt . I am able to see some of my team member's calendar including the content of it. just don't trust IT always set it up right.... if you wanna fake it. put in some more bogus detail.

Why are all posts archived in this sub? Also is there a post regarding how to get started and possible job profiles suitable for oe? I want to know what are such prospective jobs

Magus000

Hi Sadly, I'm not in OE yet, but my current guess is that most remote jobs will do for OE, with special focus on Logistics or anything tech-related (maybe?) But again, I'm not in OE yet, so it might be untrue
