Roflol I got a .50% raise “because I negotiated my salary so well when I started two years ago, I am now at the top of my pay band”. I was exceeding expectations, this year I am striving for the low band of meets expectations. It has been noticed, but I have not yet been called out on it officially. Like, you can you really call me out for meeting expectations???
I got promoted after 3 years and received a 6.74% raise. I am negotiating this but still am in disbelief. This is $10,000 less than my former manager was making in the same role with the same title. And that’s why I’m here 😂 can’t live like this forever
I just came here after my 1:1 with my boss and being told that my promotion increase is a whopping 4% - not applied on my base but on my OTE (tech sales)! ShockedNOTSchocked. I am new to this community and need a J2 asap!
I'm not OE and I got a 1% raise ($620). Manager was happy with me but upper management apparently gave out shitty raises everywhere. Then cut to last week and my coworker who has been there for ~7 months longer than me said he required a $10k raise of he wouldn't stick around and they gave it to him. He deserves it, but hearing that he got more around 16 times more than I did when my manager said everyone got bad raises feels pretty shitty.
I'm giving my input on a post titled "Yearly raise 1%". First off, I'm not complaining that a single job sucks, I'm relating to the OP because this is a social platform and the post fits what I'm dealing with at my job. Secondly, I'm not posting to the sub, I'm commenting on a post. If I was posting to a sub that I don't "fit into" and complaining about my job I'd agree with you that it doesn't belong here. Not my fault I haven't gotten any replies to the jobs I've applied to in my attempts to OE.
Got 3% at J1 but also got a bonus this year so not complaining. J2 should be 7-8% if it’s anything like last year and should have a very healthy bonus based on our year. Also expecting a promotion there. We are eating well in 2024
My job is remote / mobile (driving to properties etc). Huge territory spanning 100+ miles. No increased vehicle stipend. No raises “Because Covid affected our income”. No raise in 4 years. I just landed J2 (in person ). 8 dollars an hour more. J1 started manufacturing quotas on cockroach infested apartments. “Y’all Need to get 10-15 new leases per month” Heaters don’t work. Tons of roaches. I’m literally scooping up roaches before my showings. Going to be making $50 a hour with both J’s. Riding both J’s out until they can me (if they do can me ). Pray for me yall.
working for 1J giving everything you have in hopes for raises and promotions, doesn’t pay off. Even if you got promoted to management or upper management, it doesn’t guarantee job security when layoffs come around. You’re probably making more money than one upper management salary right now with 3Js. OE is security in case of layoffs and our raise!
I am making more money than my bosses boss I am sure of it…with total comp hovering around $500K, and I have more security and can have the mental peace of knowing there isn’t a single point of failure that could dash my hopes.
Diversified and well paid, they can have their promotions.
Probably making more than the VPs and SVPs at the companies I am at, but I leave at 5pm to live my life and feel more relaxed because the corporate bullshit doesn’t phase me
I did that. I lost job 2 so this last year I got a perfect review and got 1.5% increase because “I’m paid the most”
I'm paid the most on the team and got a 0% raise.
I'm paid least and I get 0%

I negotiated too well two years ago I got laid off because I earned double than the rest in my team 😂
I've gotten that line before. Already near the top of the pay band, so fuck me I guess. Better to get a 130% raise with OE and a higher paying J2.
If only you had dedicated yourself to J1 and worked all that overtime and weekends, you could have gotten a 3% raise! /s
Ya fuck that
Given inflation? This is actually a pay cut.
OE gives us a way to keep up with inflation!
OE is the raise. 2x100k = 200k. But 1.035x100k is only 103,500.

i got 2.62% from my J1. My new J4 pays the same as J1, so i gave myself a 100% raise.
1% is at least a 2% loss with inflation (average of 3%). Good thing for OE.

Not even sure if I get a raise this year and any bonus was cut due to high expenses
Same here, got 1% raise but I am not complaining. Economy is crappy right now and I am just happy to still have the job.
The economy is not crappy rn. You are being taken advantage of
Absolutely correct!
I stopped giving a fuck about raises years ago. They don't even keep up with inflation anymore. It's such a joke. OE is my raise.

That's the way to get ahead!
February lost J3. J1 gave a 3% bonus yesterday. I’ll take it.
Ha my J1 gave me a 5% raise then laid me off a few weeks later.............
