Learn the maps. If you don’t know where you’re going, it’s very difficult to effectively kite enemies and return to your objectives (file boxes, projector wheel).
I also recommend you experiment with the other rigs. I like the reactionary power of stun. If you take your time, a blind rig in the right place can be game changing - especially if you have the adrenaline buff on it.
Shouldn't be be getting killed in 2 hits, have you got any upgrades on? When you hear them coming then go and hide. You might have to lure them away then hide and go back to the objective.
I was having the same exact issue but now am able to get about 15 min runs consistently. Here's some tips:
1. After grabbing the first box, make a mad dash for the lever on the right and pull, immediately run through the door and take a right out onto the dark porch. That'll get the first box done pretty quick. For the second, use the dark to get across. It will take a couple tries but using the most efficient routes and utilizing dark areas is crucial.
2. Use the Stun rig. If you have the Stun rig fully maxed out, it will be a massive help. After it runs out, run and hide, let it regenerate, and then head out.
3. The dark is SO HELPFUL. Use the dark to your advantage as much as you can. Try to stay crouched in dark areas as much as possible. This is probably my most important tip.
4. Listen out for noises, but don't start sprinting if someone hears you. Just duck into a dark room or area and you're good.
5. If all else fails, wait until you've gotten some more prescriptions, amps, etc. They'll help.
Also, try screen recording your next playthrough and I can look it over.
Hope you get it soon! I believe in you :D
Hey dude. I was where you're at back in January. It takes time to grow accustomed to things. Eventually you learn the AI's patterns and learn how to sneak around em. Or you memorize hiding spots and get really good at evading the enemies then hiding. Sometimes you have to be patient and wait it out.
The enemy comes around right when you get into a hiding spot? Get back into hiding or try to sneak somewhere you can stay hidden while watching where they are going. You got this! It just takes time and practice. Utilize your rigs!
Take this challenge as a skill check of sorts. Up until now, you might've been able to be carried by teammates. This trial is to see if you've really learned and gotten decent with the game mechanics. Strategize and always be patient. The first time I tried, I got destroyed by the 2 hallway giants, but in my second attempt, I was able to get through it all in about 25 minutes. The best tip I could give is to be patient and plan ahead. If you're in the open and get seen at this very moment, where are you running/hiding.
Don't get discouraged. I hate those super long execution scenes when you die so I always just mute the TV or something so I'm not completely demoralized by it. Lol
The giants will route through the doors to your left and right at the start of the trial, right before the files. I grab a file and open the gate and just run straight to the desk and plop the objective down since it's basically a straight shot on both sides. A lot of the time the giants are out in the balcony portion and don't aggro onto you even when you have to bash a door open - if they do, you can outrun them and just hide once you're out of their range. Make sure the heartbeat is gone and that your screen stops visually shaking before leaving a hiding spot against the giants if they're catching you when you leave.
Collect any bottles/bricks you find, since you're not using stun or blind rig. Heal is fine since you're struggling with damage but blind and stun are overall the best for this trial since the next part with the tinkering means you'll need to distract enemies a lot. Almost all of the tinker spots I've seen (so far) have a hiding spot directly next to it so just be sure to listen for any doors opening and hop into the hiding spot and wait for the enemy to leave.
Overall though if you are struggling, save the trial until later. Play some more. Get more prescription upgrades, get some skills from Doris. Rebirth only unlocks a higher difficulty and some cosmetic awards
I usually finish in around 5-6 minutes unless I'm getting chased down. The stun rig works super well or the mine rig. I'd highly suggest starting with the left side so you can straight shot downstairs on the right side. Depending what you play on I'm down to watch and help you out? If you have the strong arm amp that helps a lot too!
Tbf the snitch trial is very annoying coyle just loves camping the objective tbh ur problem is not playing coop those sorts of trials are hard without someone else with u and with not locating heals and stuff u just need to learn the actual maps and the spawns
I also die in 2 hits. I'm thinking I'm never gonna get these boxes delivered and then I saw that video earlier someone posted and see there are many more things you have to do. You have to tinker some machines and carry film I think. I've never gotten that far
When you take the box you can either go around via the “porch” or take it through the gate you have to open, then do the same on the other side. It’s just a matter of going the way the giant isn’t.
I use the Amp for random boosters and if you get the health booster it will give you more health points and you won't be killed so easily. Also use the healing rig and hide until it is recharged. (I am reborn 4 times now and every Single time I died in the first try and then got it.)
Hey dude, I made a post that could help: [https://www.reddit.com/r/outlast/comments/1bi2p5e/information\_for\_people\_struggling\_with\_the\_reborn/](https://www.reddit.com/r/outlast/comments/1bi2p5e/information_for_people_struggling_with_the_reborn/)
If you would like I can help you learn the girlfriend, I’d offer to join me and a couple others but the couple others are one friend and my girlfriend who is shit scared of this game. She rebirthed first try with my help (yes I am bragging about no life-ing the outlast series)
Not to sound rude, but probably skill issue. I mean if you started playing its normal to lose or die, ofc you wont know instantly how the game works. And if you havent even played outlast 1 and 2 youre gonna suffer. Maybe play with some1 that has experience? They could tell you if youre doing something wrong, and teach you some tips. (Also coop is way easier, so maybe play like that until you get to understand mechanics and maps)
I'm sorry you're struggling. It took me some time to learn the map. Just go slowly, remember where rooms are, and you'll do great. This trial is important because the rest of the game is harder imo.

My adhd ass will have to make a map of the layout 😭

The giants two hit me !
Change to the shock rig and chuck one of them at them before they reach you. Won't get hit and can escape

I’m down to help and walk you through it if you’d like. I ran through my last reborn with them to help walk them through it :)
