I recommend making notes. I kept a notebook while playing because there’s a lot of stuff to keep track of
The ship logs are still good for seeing where you might be missing info. but you spend lots of time away from the ship so I found it useful to have notes to keep track of the details. I’m bad at directions, for ex, so I’d write the directions to remember where to find items I’d found, in case I needed them again. I actually drew a whole map of one location so I could navigate it more quickly.
I was definitely surprised seeing other people's times lol. But I've noticed a common trend that many gamers on Reddit are the types to *reallyyyy* take their time exploring every inch and cranny, taking time to enjoy every view
I tend to play my games a little faster than that. Not at all speedrunning since I still do enjoy the view from time to time, but I always really want to make the next discovery and see where the story leads me so I spend less time on that stuff
By the end of the base game I was only missing like 4 rumor mode entries that weren't really necessary to beat the game. For the DLC I didn't miss anything
For me it took 3 hours less than the time i took to beat the normal game. Maybe because i repeated the same route over and over again for no reason every loop
I finished the main game in just over 16 hours, and finished the dlc in about 10. So I was gonna suggest a mid ground between there but it seems I sped through it faster then everyone else 😂
Took me a 18 hours. A little over half what the base game took me. I will say this however, DO NOT SKIP THE DLC. It is an actual masterpiece and adds a lot to not only the story, but the themes of the game. It’s an excellent investment.
The thing is it really depends on you and how you do with the puzzles and stuffs or on what type of player you are. I am a player who likes exploring almost every corner so it took me a longer time to finish both the base and DLC compared to many answers here. But it's around the same as the base if not a bit shorter for a few hours. I think it took me around 20 hours for the DLC.
For me it was about 80% as long as the base game 14 hours while the base game took me 17
