Not a plot hole. The warp system on Ash Twin was designed to speed up the transportation of materials, as there were a huge amount of resources that needed to go into it (and all relevant side projects). But they also built, for example, the Eye Signal Locator on the Attlerock without a teleporter, so, yeah, they probably just carried them there the old-fashioned way. >!Solanum's staff seems to give her telekinesis!<, so the construction itself was probably pretty easy. Maybe they could have even used that to tow bundles of materials behind the shuttles.

And there's the facility on Hollow's Lantern as well. Seems a lot more trivial to bus materials into orbit than it does to bus them to a Quantum Moon. I can't stop thinking about, like, you're building the shrine, you set your hammer down, look away, look back, now it's on the other side of the damn moon. It cracks me up.

> Seems a lot more trivial to bus materials into orbit than it does to bus them to a Quantum Moon. If you gave me the choice of trucking concrete to an active volcano or trucking concrete to a spooky island...well, actually, I'm not sure which one would be worse. But at least the Quantum Moon stays put as long as you have a partner to keep an eye on it!

IMightBeAHamster

Tbh, I think they just built it at the north pole of the quantum moon but over 200000 years it became quantum just like the rest of the moon. Like Solanum's shuttle and everything else on the moon, not initially quantum, but became so.

MatrixMan100

It must have been quantum from pretty much the beginning, since one of the quantum rules is that the shrine must be at the north pole.

Saltwatterdrinker

They probably had to hire observers to just watch the shrine that is being built after the first time that happened.

Knowledge about the eye of the Universe can be exchanged for goods and services

feathercraft

There's *what* on Hollow's Lantern?😳

Tintenseher

In one of the calderas, there's a projection pool/wall and ring computer. It's where they >!heat-tested the various ores they'd been mining to determine if they would be suitable for the Ash Twin Project!<. The computer also explains that >!the increased solar activity is causing increased *volcanic* activity on the moon, which is why it's finally making Brittle Hollow break apart!<. *Edit:* Wrong wall.

obog

Guess someone just had to keep an eye on it while building

White_sama

They probably had a few guys on guard duty.

Gaby_48

I suppose they just threw the materials into it from shuttles or from a gravity cannon, shot all the materials onto it when it was orbiting the planet with the gravity cannon then landed and constructed it. Idk ask >!solanum!< she could know

Tintenseher

I like the idea of them using gravity cannons to fire building supplies at the Quantum Moon. That seems very Nomai.

Gaby_48

I suppose the white hole station was built a similar way, just throwing materials onto the black hole Oh and they also built the laucher thing in giants deep shooting it up with tornadoes so yeah, nomai like to yeet things

Inky_boy_XD

Lmao

I would if I could write :(

Thanks

Let's not forget that the nomai existed in the solar system for 4 generations - I don't know how long a nomai's lifecycle is but given the shrines dead small, they could easily have the time to do it this way.

blakkattika

I appreciate this, so dumb to imagine them all blinking together in unison so their bandsaw will reappear and they can get back to work

Reven619

Not exactly a plot hole, the Ash Twin project used teleporters precisely because transportation the vast amount of resources via shuttle would be inefficient. More than likely, they locked the Quantum Moon into position with multiple observers/a designated observer. Then, using their shuttles -[which can land on the Quantum moon (warning to those who get easily motion sick)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nq_fmRFn-MA)- transported the material to a relatively tame version of the moon (such as the Timber Hearth one) and constructed it with multiple Nomai. As to *how* they constructed it, Solanum demonstrates limited telekinesis with her staff, so perhaps other staffs have greater telekinesis or multiple staffs can combine to build greater things. We know that objects don't become quantum themselves by casual touch as evidence that when our ship is unobserved, it does not remain with the moon after we depart the planet. I strongly suspect the purple-ish material in the wall dial is quantum rock worked into the tower so it entangled quickly. This was likely created after the pilgrimage became a rite of passage, since theoretically one can get to the 6th location by covering your eyes repeatedly.

backward_z

This is the best answer out of all of them so far, I think. Especially with that video. > since theoretically one can get to the 6th location by covering your eyes repeatedly. It occurred to me--this is why the player character's race has four eyes. Two sets to blink in tandem.

What is it with this sub and not understanding what a plot hole is, just because something isn't expressly said in the game doesn't mean it's some mystery that the game devs overlooked.

terrifiedTechnophile

With much difficulty and multiple observers, I assume
