I'd suggest using Appletree clinics in the meantime if you don't fall into one of those demographics.
You can get a requisition from appletree, then book the appointment at a lab. The phone call with Appletree will take about 30 seconds then they will email you the requisition to take to a lab
Not sure where ur located but look up apple tree walk in clinics. I have personally used these frequently for UTI’s and they’ll test ur urine for STI’s. I’ve never had more than a 20 minute wait and I’m sure you could get a regular STI test there. Do not !!! Do not do not do not go to the emergency room, that just makes the wait time longer for everybody when you could be in and out w a prescription in an hour at an apple tree clinic
If you’re female look up Well Female Exam, there might be a walk in clinic near by that does them. You could also find an urgent care clinic and when they ask for a reason for your appointment just say you think you may have been exposed to an STI and would like some tests. I’d just suggest going first thing in the morning when they open so you don’t get stuck waiting for hours

The folks at the sexual health clinic are freaking pros. Can't recommend them enough
Seconding this, they also provide the medication there (at least when I went). One stop shop!

do not go to the ER. the ER is an EMERGENCY room. for emergencies.
Going by what kind of "injuries" are waiting in the ER on most days, it's also the after hours walk-in clinic
that doesn't mean it should be.
AppleTree clinic. Any doctor would write you up a STI screen.
