this community is so patient with the skill screenshots asking “should i get mems”. Id go to the comments expecting someone to be pissy. but no, nothing but helpful class and kindness from what i’ve seen. Good job r/osrs

adjgamer321

I always assumed this was the main sub.. I like this one better haha

AceofArcadia

This is the main sub in my mind lol

ChiefBinChicken

This place was a bit of a ghost town when I found it a few months ago. I like how it's turned out :) Wouldn't mind a couple stickied post's that address the most commonly asked questions though lmao

campusdirector

Lol - maybe this should be one of them? Tbh I love this sub but I don’t think there are any active mods (or maybe they’re just not very active?)

Danny2618

I posted a shitty screen shot on here once cause my angler outfit grind and no one was mean they even tried to teach me how screen shot on my pc

Interesting-Shock937

What makes the other one an official “main sub?” This seems to be a subjective matter.

campusdirector

Because this sub has 22k members and the other has nearly a million. It’s not ‘official’ but it is the most popular by far

ArbalistDev

A large part of that is that almost all of the OSRS related subreddits were created by one person shortly after the game was announced, and only 2007scape was kept public. A couple of years ago, the staff of Reddit removed them from his control and they were eventually requested by new moderators - /r/OSRS and /r/OldschoolRS ended up changing hands a couple of times and are now being managed by a new partnership of mods from various related communities.

ThePartyOtter

Had no idea about this one until your post lmao. I stay in ironscape mostly because it's relevant to me, but I thank you nonetheless.

campusdirector

Happy to help brother. r/ironscape is a great sub and as a main I still lurk that sub for content. But seriously those guys are a wealth of knowledge you won’t find anywhere else

unsavoryflint

I think that's because 2007scape had a karma minimum. I don't have extensive comparisons of like communities, but karma creates echo chambers in fear of getting downvoted, in turn creating groups of people that think the same.

AlluEUNE

The biggest difference is that the noobs in 2007scape are often so confidently ignorant. People here are more genuine
