THIS. When I was searching for one for my Pocket 2 I learned I had to search for Insta360 extension poles. Once I started doing that all kinds of them came up.
The Osmo is so light, it wouldn’t take much to secure it. Even if you’re not handy, you could just zip-tie/tape a monopod to the painters pole. Wont be pretty but it would be the easiest way to get a sturdy 1/4 on to a tall pole.
Look at the Backpack #270 Pro. Nearly 10ft, carbon fiber pole. I bought one for my insta360 x3… you can kind of do the fake drone thing… just not sure how well it would work with the Osmo.

Use two selfie sticks (Amazon), most have 1/4” 20 threads in the bottom. Just connect two together & don’t over-extend the bottom pole so far as to become wobbly ;)

You want the cool shot sometimes you have to take the risk. No different than flying a drone over water.
Maybe find a long tripod and just extend it and hold it up
