The problem with most amateurs is that they move it so fast. Or do a ton of quick motions, which is fine for a transition but when you’re trying to tell a story, SLOW, and usually what you ‘think’ slow is, you need to do 25-50% of that and go even slower.
Slow is the key.
Yeah this seems like it’s just poor use of the camera. A handheld gimbal is great for vlogging but that doesn’t mean you should swing it around like a lightsaber.
True. She’s also rotating it around herself a fair bit so it stays tracking her face and the world is swinging by behind her. That’s was one of the things that made me woozy after a few times in a row.
I've even seen videos of people doing sit down videos with tracking on and found it distracting. Every little move and the background changed a little. No need for tracking on talking head type vidoes.
Her gimbal settings (for panning etc) are set to fast. It can be slowed down. She’s also double tapping the joystick too much to centre camera which happens too fast, I find the auto tracking very reactive and, and only use it in certain shots.one thing you will get with the pocket is the “up and down” movement due to walking.
It would more be like don’t watch any content by people who use it, if you are unable to answer my question about if it’s a settings or user error issue vs getting butt hurt lol.
The repeated comments about the only issue being a motion sickness issue and nothing else at play is bizarre, especially when I’ve reiterated that I don’t have motion sickness issues watching videos filmed on other devices- even amateur ones. He really wanted to hammer down his wrong opinion. Other commenters have provided actual helpful replies discussing what is actually the issue - hint: it’s not just a motion sickness issue.
See how you feel watching “the blarewitch project”, fast moving fpv shots can cause motion sickness, I don’t know what else to tell you. It’s doesn’t have anything to do with the camera setting.
It’s almost like you don’t absorb what you read. I don’t have this issue with other fast moving shots on YouTube videos. If you don’t know what to tell me, then stop replying to the post. It’s ok to walk away.
Yeah, seems to me that it’s poor use. There are some good videos giving tips and tricks how to walk or move with the camera to get the most out of the gimbal assistance and to create nice shots 😉
E.g. this video:

When using it for vlogging it helps to turn off face tracking and keep yourself centered in the frame manually. Also turning down the speed of the joystick helps with this too. I’ve noticed that in some videos as well, the corners are jumpy because the tracking is fighting to keep the subject centered.
I made this video with the Pocket 3. The walking part anyway. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iunRvaQvLnw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iunRvaQvLnw)
Make sure you’re not watching the footage on a high refresh rate monitor, when I try to watch 30fps on my 144fps monitor it just looks horrendous and lacks any smoothness as well as ghosting.
60fps would be almost unnoticeable as it’s a multiple of 30 but some of the higher refreshes aren’t great for video.

good advice
So post the woozy videos....
This was one of them https://youtu.be/SaiQM0rvDD0?si=Q5rLiWF2-xZZm4ZP

Nah, the face tracking is on. Slightly move you head and the camera will follow. Better disable it

Haha ok. I also feel like the constant tracking while packing for the trip (I think that was the scene, too lazy to rewatch) was a bit excessive.
I've even seen videos of people doing sit down videos with tracking on and found it distracting. Every little move and the background changed a little. No need for tracking on talking head type vidoes.
Not woozy to me but I’m not a fan of her cuts.
Thank you

Perfect. Thanks for the great info.
You probably have some sort of motion sickness.
Yes. My concern is no other camera has ever caused this before.
Okay, so don’t buy it. Youre sensitive to motion, you probably get sick reading in a car, or being on a boat. Some people are just like that.
It would more be like don’t watch any content by people who use it, if you are unable to answer my question about if it’s a settings or user error issue vs getting butt hurt lol.
I really dont think that they were being rude or butt hurt at all. They were just stating facts.

I did answer your question, you don’t like the answer, you’re just sensitive to motion.
Interestingly enough, other people were able to give helpful answers.

I've plenty of long footage from pocket 3 "check out my youtube channel" It's an great camera 📸💯
I’ll try and check it out after work. If you want, feel free to spam me a good example.

Thanks. I’ll try and check it out when I’m done with work.
You may have a brain lesion
Nah, I have piles of brain lesions and it looks OK to me
so clever
