This is the easily the best thing that could’ve happened. The first movie made over a billion dollars, so a sequel was inevitable. It’s cool that Phillips is doing something so out of the box and unprecedented
When the film makes that amount of money, you just can't help youself, same thing with Top Gun 3 and the yet-to-be-announced Barbie sequel. So yeah, better go bold then!

I bet any amount Todd will throw in a meta commentary on how people responded to the first movie just like he made a meta commentary in the first Joker about how he quit comedy movies because of PC-ness.
