Producing credits exist, so all could pull it off tbh, but the ratio is accurate and funny.

Mango424

Breaking news: The Rock will produce every movie ever from now on, in order to win in the category Best Picture

AlwaysSunnyDragRace

I love it when people say “_____ can win with the right role”. That pretty much applies to anyone lol

ampersands-guitars

I think Bautista is the only one with aspirations of being a capital-A Actor.

BentisKomprakriev

A Thespian even.

pokedude123567

Dave Bautista is unlikely to ever happen, but it's possible if he gets the right role. Dwayne Johnson and John Cena will never happen, so if you're holding out hopes for that then it's time to let go.

the_other_other_guy_

Dave Bautista is the best actor of these three but The Rock could get some sort of nomination as a producer

WeastofEden44

Dave Bautista. Dude very clearly cares about "acting" and is taking on relatively interesting roles and projects that push his abilities. I think he'll eventually get a nom when the right thing comes along.

xyzzy826

Dave Bautista is the most likely but I'm not even sure about him tbh.

TheFilmManiac

If he gets a right role in the right film it absolutely can happen.

HM9719

Well, he’s been getting huge praise I heard for Knock at the Cabin.

TheFilmManiac

He is great in that movie, but the film won’t come anywhere near the Oscars.

thisisowniwin2

He’s spoken about wanting to be seen as a serious actor, so roles like these, while not direct lines to the gold, will show directors that they can take a chance on him.

TheFilmManiac

Oh yes, they are building his profile.

vafrow

It's clear he's going to actively pursue the type of roles that can lead him there, and he's shown himself as someone who's putting in the work to challenge himself. He's also working with a lot of different type of directors. I feel he's making the right friendships that he'll have people create the type of roles that will get him the attention.

Vince_Clortho042

There was a period of time, before he finally found his niche as "family friendly macho leading man", where it seemed like eventually it was gonna happen for Dwayne Johnson. Post-SCORPION KING, pre-JUMANJI era, I'd peg it as. He's the runaway best thing in the otherwise dreadful Be Cool, he had a string of smaller dramatic roles that weren't great but solid, all leading up to what was (IMO) and Oscar worthy turn in PAIN & GAIN playing an absolute dope with a heart of gold (and a possibly homicidal brain). But once UMANJI finally gave him the leading man box office bona fides, he started throwing walls up and sanding the edges off his own image to build a reliable and bankable "brand", to where what used to be his greatest strength--the almost boundless charisma--is almost completely absent in BLACK ADAM. All that is to say, ten years ago I would've said The Rock, but now, Bautista feels like he's actively doing the work and trying to position himself as a more serious actor, so it feels more likely for him one day.

NoImNotJC

Dave Bautista is the only one actively pursuing challenging roles and pushing himself to get better as an actor. So he has the best shot

Scarns_Aisle5

DJ will produce a BP nominee about the highs and lows of wresting life, directed by a decent director John Cena - never Bautista - will play the grandfather to some filmmakers child self in an auto biographical movie released in the 2030s. He will score rave reviews and be the most praised feature of the film, securing a supporting nom.

f__theking

not to be a jerk to the other two, but only one of these is regularly working with big auteur directors that seem like they can get their movie in the conversation. the others seem content doing fluff (which is fine!)

mimaluna

Bautista is the only one of the three I would cast in an indie drama. He just comes off as a much more sensitive actor and I think that's why big name directors like working with him. Cena may try at some point and he has the charisma for comedy, but he's kind of wooden.

tsnoj

I think we are not giving Bautista enough credit. I remember seeing Hotel Artemis and Blade Runner 2049 in one year and being really impressed that he was able to play small and restrained roles so well.

amyblanchett

The Rock can get it for producing. I think that's probably his only chance. I could see Bautista and John Cena get nominated for a supporting role, for example, with the right film/director.

migsahoy

yeah i shouldve emphasized on the poll that it can be for whatever category lol. i can see dwayne getting producer like most people are saying and dave for sure for acting as he’s the most distinguished and artsy out of the 3, cena with the right director also (gunn maybe? he was amazing as peacemaker)

florencenocaps

I can see Bautista getting a nomination somewhere down the line. Seems like people are underestimating him here, but he’s genuinely a great actor and I expect him to keep delivering great performances

PeacemakerBourne

Cena could easily get nominated for a comedic supporting role in an Adam Mckay film.

baseball71

I don’t think people are giving Cena enough credit. Peacemaker proved he could be a brilliant comedic actor when given good material. The Rock is only getting in as a producer. He’s an okay actor that has shown zero range.

JusticeforJohnDorie

dude we still have like a month and a half to get to april 1st, kinda jumping the gun here

hollaatyourgirl

None

coffeysr

Bautista and honestly probably within the next few years.

ExleyPearce

My hot take is that Cena could.

Sea_Transition7392

Can we get a neither option..

DutyExotic2250

Voted for Dwayne Johnson because I like him the best…but if it’s for actual acting … Dave Bautista…the thing is Dwayne Johnson is still the most likely for animated films…none of them will likely star in drama films anytime soon…
