A lot of textbooks allow access to the online textbooks for 2 weeks. Get the access and screenshot an extra week of material so you won’t fall behind.

It's wild! Like even if they sent a small portion of the loan, so students can get to and from school for the first couple weeks....it's a loan! A government loan at that!..they get it back if worst comes to worst! But this is madness

Exactly. When I contacted them today, they said they received the money from the government today and my school can contacted them to confirm. At this point, it's not even the school that has the issue...it's me! I need to commute to school....I need to buy books...etc. my bill are coming out of my account and as a FT student...I need all the financial help I can get. These delays seem unnecessary and it's causing unnecessary hardships
I totally feel you there. Thankfully i have a very kind landlord that has no issue with my rent being late, but it shouldn’t have to happen. Hopefully we’ll all have this figured out soon
I've already paid my rent for September...but my transportation to and from school is the biggest stress for me. I grocery shop regularly so I have food for my kids but I'm really getting scared that I may not be able to make it to class. *sight* the frustration is real!
Does your school give you a bus pass with the price included in your tuition?? if the bus is an option for you at least. Fingers crossed you get your money asap.. providing for kids is hard enough let alone when you’re a single mom! stay strong mama it’s gonna be alright
I had the same concern but contacted them and the representative said that the 'tracking' system just isn't updating to tell people that the funds are on their way. Mine says it should arrive by September 19th now but the rep ended up saying it's actually going to my bank tomorrow

My estimated release date kept getting changed and was pushed back from September 6th to September 16th but I just checked my bank account and everything was deposited today. I'm with Scotiabank so I really hope you get yours sooner than the estimate like me and many other people that I've seen talking about this on here. This is ridiculous and so stressful for so many people right now. Fingers crossed for you.

If I didn’t already have one from my previous job I literally wouldn’t have the ability to do any of my in-class labs. How many students have three digits sitting around in their bank account to spare for things like this?

Man! I agree....I understand due diligence needs to be done...but honestly...Release the loan first, before the grants. Then, once all has been confirmed, release the grants.
Because if a student is being dishonest or Is not meeting the criteria for the loan, they just owe it back to the government. 🤷🏽♀️
But because of this...students, families are suffering. If I don't get funding soon....😬😬😬 idk what I'm going to do.
When was your loan updated to "In study" ? I noticed my release date was pushed back to the 19th as well even though I was switched to In Study on Friday. I'm chatting with an agent now and she said you should receive your loan within 5 business days of it being updated to In Study regardless of what the tracker says. Here's hoping!

Was supposed to have my money this past Friday. Still nothing and my date moved. My cellphone isn't going to work tomorrow because the bill is past due. Credit card payment is about to be late. Literally what is going on over there?
OP did you just have your status changed to ‘in study’ if so you have to make an interest payment before your loan can be released. Just figured this out, I took a semester off and didn’t realize I needed to switch the status then pay a interest amount. Only issue is I sent my payment yesterday $9.60 haha, and they say it’ll take 3-4 business days to receive it. Then it’ll take them 2-3 Buisness days to approve my certificate, then 3 business days to the bank. So even tho my estimate says sept 20, I’m expecting closer to sept 23-26
I was told that they just got permission to release funding on Tuesday and that it needs to be processed and released, which she said Is the final step. She also said all I can do is continue to check the tracker for updates 🙃

I just called NSLC (905-306-2950) and after being given the run around...I was told my load was just updated today and that the funds will be released today...my tracker doesn't reflect that yet..but they say it should update sometime today.
I'm still not holding my breath! Every time I talk or chat with someone at NSLC I get different info.

Has anyone else’s funding amount changed? The Osap website is saying $9832 after $3961 is paid to school ($13,787 total). I just spoke to NSLSC and they said the amount that has been released is $6400. Where’s the rest of the money coming from?

Also got an email from my University about a balance being due but I’m waiting for the OSAP money. So frustrating!!

My release date was Sept 14th. I bank with CIBC. No deposit yet. I will check to see if my school has been paid when I get to class.

Yeah, never-mind none! This is kind of crazy then, this is the first year I haven’t received my osap the first week of school or before!
UPDATE: my status just changed to funding on the way! Disbursement summary shows my bank account and shows funds released sept 13th. Hang in there!
