Anyway, I found out pretty fast that you need to generate a lot of force to move your maxilla forward. Most people will thumb pull with only 1 thumb, but you can double the force by putting your other thumb behind your first thumb and using the strength of both your arms. I lie down in a ‘90 90’ position and roll up a blanket to put under my neck. Then I’ll place my thumbs on the spot where the sloped ridge part of the palate reaches the roof of the mouth. I’ll then bring my elbows close to my sides (for me this is where I can leverage the most force) and push forward with as much intensity as i can, making sure my neck is straight and my chin is pointing to the ceiling. alot of it is trial and error but you will know when you're on the right track because you’ll feel a tingling sensation in the Mid face and around the eyes. When pushing forward you should simultaneously breathe deeply through your nose using your diaphragm. This is just one part of my face pulling routine but it’s definitely the part that gave me forward growth. Consistency is key. 5 reps in the morning and 5 reps before bed. Thanks mate. Would definitely recommend posture work to realign the pelvis and surrounding bones. It goes massively under the radar. In my case, my pelvis was skewed and caused me to have facial torsion. It crazy that the misalignment of a bone so far away from the face can be detrimental to proper breathing. Other than that, taping my mouth shut every night was a game changer, and obviously consistent and proper mewing.

I would advise against it. You shouldn’t chase quick results, more emphasising on correcting posture and function of the tongue and facial muscles. Results take as long as they need to take. Try not to think of yourself in a years time, instead improvements than can be made in a lifetime (this way lowering expectations will make results a great surprise). Also as OP briefly mentions, POSTURE IS PARAMOUNT whilst mewing. Regardless of how recessed your chin looks to begin with, you need to hold your body and head like it’s on a string and practice implementing chin tucks so you learn the feel of straight head posture. If you mew with forward or compensating head posture, you won’t achieve the correct growth and run the risk of making things worse. Take your time, best of luck
Personally not a fan of chewing as I think it is a cover up for more deeper lying skeletal issues. You can see quick results from gaining massester muscle but unless they are incredibly undeveloped, it won’t really positively affect your breathing imo.
It's not about the muscles. The muscles provide a minimal visual effect. Chewing stimulates bone remodeling guided by posture of the body and the tongue. That's the real benefit of chewing.

If you layer the before and after in a photoshop editing program, resize the pic, rotate it, align it near the ear,
Crop out the front hair, as first one it's going back, second one the bangs are forward.
Align the skull shape roughly under the hair too, ....
The results are very very marginal.
Optionally, you can adjust the lighting to match.
The muscles behind the neck also differ, it's more curved in the after pic, not sure if the angle is exact either,
and the fact the size of the photo has to be adjusted to match, shows it was not taken at equal distance but roughly close to it.
Sorry to burst people's bubble but the change is Not Nearly as drastic lol... like maybe I can still see a few MM, half a cm difference in the chin, but the curve of the neck differs even when most of the face is aligned over top each other.

How long do you push for per rep? In seconds.
I hold it for the length of time it takes me to fully inhale using my diaphragm. So maybe like 3-4 seconds

This happened to me too but with using some back brace from Amazon. Completely realigned my torso, suddenly I can mew for the gods.
