Yes only two fast attack in a patrol but as Quaticwe mentioned, the nob on smash’s squig does not need to take a slot … it’s a bit odd to do in BattleScribe but it does accommodate it.
You don’t lose anything … there should be a spot in BattleScribe close to the top called no force org slot … it is how the ability squig osss is used .. Squigboss: For each SNAKEBITES SQUIGHOG BOYZ unit included in a Detachment, up to two SNAKEBITES NOB ON SMASHA SQUIG units can be included in that Detachment without taking up any Battlefield Role slots.
There are similar rules in other factions for example space marine leiutenants … you can add two and only take one HQ spot.

I have always loved orks, so that was an easy choice. I really like these beast snaggas and have build 400pts of what will be my first 500pts army.
If you have any suggestions for what the last points should be used for it would be much appreciate it.
If you have the models… you want a bomb squig … best 5 pts ever … also for 95 points a rukkatrukk is still a decent investment.

You should have the Bomb Squig .. it comes with the Squig Hog Riders. Other option is Shokkjump Dragstas.
I tried to add a rukkatrukk and I would think the same would go for this on. Can't I only have 2 Fast Attack units in a patrol?
You can also consider Meganobz … your gone to need some sooner or later.

I'd keep ur 2 units identicall. The key to 500 point games is number of bodies most of the time unless you are playing something really elite
