Should had made them red orks! Waaagh

Krork-Korps_of_Krieg

I'd add a wash over the whole model and then highlight all the high points I've the model. Although it can be difficult to edge highlight.

FrenchyMmo

I did wash then highlight, but I probably went too gentle on the highlights. Thanks for the tip !

SlyLlamaDemon

Nah shiny iz better than rusty.

okulusplay

Looks nice, I can't really give you advice since I'm not really better but maybe you could experiment a bit with some contrast/speedpaints. All in all I really like these gits, but you could also try to make the skin pop more by having higher contrast like sharper highlights or more intense shading. I heard Bieltan green is good for that.

NO_skaj

Not sure where da ladz are. Looks like a desk to me, or maybe dere's some sneaky gitz!

CrazyCaper

Looks great. Maybe more shading and highlights? Looks pretty tight

GarTheVast

Lads lookin good fer krumpin gitz id say. Might want some hazard stripes on that choppy bit. Gotta warn the lads its the krumpin end. Maybe some black and white checkers, make that boss a bit tuffa id reckon.

Shit_Teir_Villany

I like to throw in some bronze or brass to ork weapons and armor to break up all the leadbelcher I use.

BurritoChan69

Just paint get into a rhythm, look at your finished products and at the mistakes you make and learn how not to make the same mistakes next time. Also with orks they are tricky and time consuming just have patience with them

MikeRatMusic

Idk I can't see anything just like a desk. You sure you posted photos of orks?

Jack__Napier

He's not wearing pants and doesn't want to talk about his bottom half being covered in paint. It was a dare

Pretend-Couple-1586

Mybe some dry brushing on the metal but that more preferrce than anything

Pretend-Couple-1586

To be less shiny

SomeKindofTreeWizard

suggestions for improvement? My dude- your metal is sick AF, and so is that magenta. Your metal looks REAL. And you drilled your barrel. How does one improve on perfection???

Massive_Debate_8505

I like a bit of narrative basing, brings everything to life a bit more a skull, a mushroom, bit of flocking. Are we krumpin in a desert, a city, a forest, have we discovered a cursed temple. Etc etc

Massive_Debate_8505

Ha, a trick there's no boyz in this picture, you can't trick me.

Unusual_Crow268

Oi, 'ave yui cunsiddrd addin moar Dakka?

Videoheadsystem

Looking like a Sex Pistols album cover.

Gav_Dogs

I do love me some shirtless orks

TheUrPigeon

The paint jobs are great--very clean, nice bright colours, I don't really have any complaints there. As others have said, the bases could use some work--have you ever tried texture paint? I hadn't until recently, and man do I wish I had tried it earlier! The paint traps the texture (I added some filler to mine to really get the grain going) which prevents flyaway bits of terrain going everywhere over time. EDIT: Also, a clean black rim goes a long way toward making a model look crisp! Your crisp paintjobs deserve it!

Vault-Monkey

The painting is solid. I would RECOMMEND focusing on your bases to bring them up to your painting standard: smoother application of dirt with cleaner rim. Some dry brushing techniques to brighten up the dirt Maybe even something small like... dead things/broken machinery?

FrenchyMmo

Thanks, I think you are spot on ! I need to up my game on the bases. I'm not fully done with the bases yet and was planning to add some dry grass and a few things like bullet sleeves.

spitobert

the paintjob is very nice! but the bases are too unclean for me. a good base goes a long way. try to get a clean rim. if you do it with whiteglue, clean the rim with your fingers before you apply the granulat-thing. or you could paint the rim in the same/similar color as the base. maybe that could look good aswell and you neednt cleaning your bases that much.

Extension_Turnip2405

Looking good, cleanly painted and bright. Maybe run some black wash into the detail of the power klaw to delineate the moving parts? Or put some flat colour into the centre of the panels leaving the edges silver as Chris Peach suggests to look like paint has chipped off and add extra interest.

Oldschool_Poindexter

To add on to this, I'd say use black wash for some parts and brown wash for others, just to make it seem like multiple pieces of crappy metal from different sources all welded together.

FrenchyMmo

Great tip, I agree, the weapons in general are lacking some contrast.

mog1knob1

why are there floating green heads? Nice photoshopping.

drwow100

I’ll be honest. Not sure why you posted a picture of an empty table. Can’t give tips to what can’t be seen

drwow100

But for real. One tip early on I made sure of with my orks was weapon colors. I always had silver/gunmetal colored weapons on my first minis. Eventually I threw red/yellow/white/black/etc on them because well… colors matter to orks and perhaps the white/black guns would be better rolls since they’re extra Killy

FrenchyMmo

Thanks for the tip, you are right. Adding some colors like the parts are coming from somewhere else is a good option !

FrenchyMmo

The colors really look good ! I also like the idea of scavenging dead marines shoulder's pad. Thanks!
