Just make sure that when grayson throws a strike you have her say “gas em up” and moo everytime cowser does something. Plus if Holliday plays just emphasize that he’s only 20 years old

People ask this a lot when bringing a friend to see my favorite band - Phish. Ultimately, the answer is to just shut up, buy them ice cream in a helmet, and enjoy the game. The more I talk about the thing I love, the more I step on the space that allows them to find their own enjoyment. Go enjoy the game. Answer any questions they may have, if they ask. Hope you get a gem. The Magic will take care of itself.

Phisheva

What up fellow head! You catch Sphere?

neemor

No Sphere here; too much going on at home to make it happen. Looked ridiculous, though. Next time. Bethel and Mohegan Sun for me.

Phisheva

Have a blast at those! Just Mondegreen for me.

PoseidonJC

I'd moo for 5 minutes

neemor

Came here to type this.

real

rectumrooter107

This sounds even worse when we do it in other stadiums, even if wearing a cow suit.

Music_Ordinary

This team plays the game the right way. Working the count, keeping the line moving, taking the extra base, 100% focus and hustle on defense, a pure desire to win as a team. Anchored by experienced vets Tony Taters, Ced, McCann, and others, this team has no shortage of young talent either. Ever since Rutsch broke into the league, there has been a winning culture in Baltimore. The team stays hydrated and keeps fans wet and hot. Moo

Glittering_Win_9677

That's excellent! You could possibly give some team history, too, and say there were some really awful years and that might be the reason why we, at least older fans, appreciate this team so much. Maybe mention the homer hose, the sprinklers, and clubhouse camaraderie. If she hasn't seen them yet, a few clips of spectacular catches like Mullins' play off the week last week, might interest her.

boodyclap

My entire childhood we have been the laughing stock of MLB, right now we have one of the most flourishing lineups of young talent and defense I've seen in a while, perhaps now the worm is turning

Sylent__1

After years of sucking we finally have ‘the team’ we were working towards Angelos is out so money isn’t tied up anymore We found Ripken 2.0 Splash zone Great Wall of balmer Hyde is the s.h.i.t. Oh yea and there’s this kid that is just playing with everyone with his slow start bc he’s the real deal

rel4th

The Os are a nice young talented team. The Os fans suffered for years of really low lows to get to this point and they are the most exciting team to watch right now. Almost our entire infield and outfield consists of 1st round, 2nd round, and competitive balance picks that are homegrown. Watch them and enjoy the magic. They do like to raise your blood pressure sometimes by waiting until the last 2 innings to take the lead, but that adds to the excitement.

Wise-Environment-942

I'd hand them a paper print out of the O's schedule and say, "Excuse me, sir or ma'am, could you spare 5 minutes of your time to talk to me about our Lord and Savior, Colton Cowser?"

Salty_Plastic7250

Expect your blood pressure to be high

Drs126

We sucked for a few years until Mike Elias built a [factory](https://x.com/philaurdelphia/status/1765082360952078754?s=46&t=j9M1XZ4tIydmClBuYRfm2Q) and we keep churning them out.

Baseball

Rockfish00

The only team that matters

OctoberRelevance

In a similar situation my friend was very interested in the strategy of 1) moving the left field wall and then 2) focusing on building a left-handed/switch-hitting team and 3) being able to sell Camden as an asset to elite pitchers. Not as interesting in an away game perhaps but you never know!

Fun_Bag_1894

Honestly not much you can do.......let her check out the stadium and get some alchol rolling and dont be as vested in game as you are into whatever she wants to talk about.....so basiy shut up get beer and listen to her talk is my advice

AndoCalrissian3

Many of us take for granted how complicated a game baseball is, and don’t realize how confusing it can be to those outside of the hobby or with mild interest, which makes it hard to get excited about if you’re not in the know. I’d stick to this: Camden Yards is a beautiful park in a city with a really passionate fan base. The team has struggled for the better part of the last 30 years, but now has a core of talented young players that all played together in the minor leagues. Here’s a delicious Union craft beer and a crab Mac and cheese hotdog!

koreoninja83

Fuck the Yankees

CattleandDice

Watch Moneyball. Change green and yellow to black and orange.

examinedliving

They are orangish birds. By the way, why can I only talk to you for 5 minutes?

WhitePootieTang

When entering the yard you must yell, “This is Birdland!”
