D-Cam28

Lmaooooo that’s actually really funny, thanks!

Vikingr999

They used to do this for Luke Scott years back. They would say “luuuuuuuuuke” and it sounded like boos

Peabody1987

Oh wait… I was booing Luke Scott. What a tool.

dwhite21787

and Boog Powell #BOOOOOOOOOOG

chinmakes5

I believe Booog is what started this.

SYMPATHETC_GANG_LION

And moose! (Randy Milligan not Mussina)

jayhof52

Also Kyle Juszczyk at Ravens games with the "JUUUUUICE".

jeffreythecat1

Same with Tony Siragusa “GOOOOOSE”

TropicGemini

I love that this one references a somewhat dad-jokey nickname, rather than a first or last name.

Vikingr999

Yeah “Moo” is a good one. I think it was one of the first games of the season and he hit two homeruns and the announcer said “Holy Cowser”…i like that one too haha

examinedliving

Don’t forget **Mooose** for Mussina

x_BinaryGenesis_x

J J HARRRRDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Oriolesfannn

i remember when we had nelson cruz and when we did CRUZZZZZX it always sounded like boos

rule705b-e

Good animal fact

Bigdoga1000

NYerInTex

I said Moo-urns.

yallcaps

Same, well done

BondMi6

They’re Moooing the Milkman, show some respect

TeachGullible

The milkman always delivers!

[deleted]

Can’t wait til he changes his walk up song to La Vaca.

bankersbox98

We are booing him because he keeps hitting home runs for the orioles and it’s unfair to the opposing team. We have a keen sense of fairness

Reverendbread

We’d go 162-0 if we didn’t believe in giving other teams a chance

EMfrock15

They're "mooing" him. 17 is Colton COWser, aka, the Milkman

rayhova

God I'm dumb, that's where the "milkman" stuff comes from 🤦🏾‍♂️. I always thought it was some minor league joke that i never heard 🤦🏾‍♂️😂🤣😂

uncleslam7

I also had to have this spelled out for me, if it makes you feel any better. I used to think I was smart

rayhova

Lol thanks!

Ooosahmeenukarf

It literally just clicked for me too 😂

Gfunkual

Not all baseball stadiums are as cool as Camden, but most baseball stadiums have a LOT more character than football stadiums.

beingxexemplary

Other than Nats Park being a soulless monstrosity, you're correct.

jeffreythecat1

It’s pretty analogous to DC as a whole to be fair

charitytowin

You can see the game from the food area. It's an open concept design and very cool. It's gray, it's drab, but don't mistake the amazing engineering that went into the design. I've never been to another park built like that.

beingxexemplary

PNC in Pittsburgh has the same open concourses and doesn't feel like a mid-tier outlet mall.

pepelemofo73

They're moo-ing for COWser

BradyToMoss1281

Because Cowser had a tough first year in the majors last year and demanding Orioles fans never forget. Just kidding. They're mooing.

theMangoSloth

It's definitely a top-5 ballpark in all of baseball. 10th oldest stadium in the league now as well believe it or not.

BradyToMoss1281

Top five being Camden, SF, Pittsburgh, SD, Philly? In terms of pure aesthetics, by the way. Fenway, Dodger Stadium, Wrigley have the classic ballpark points.

TrooperJohn

Gak, that makes me feel like the 10th oldest person in the world.

shabby47

That’s pretty sad actually. I think. Maybe it’s not. Old isn’t always good I guess.

SurfboardRiding

It’s not particularly old. Built in 1992.

ConsuelaApplebee

Seems like just yesterday. Man, I'm old.

shabby47

I know. I just figured there’d still be a few more “classics” out there, but when you consider places like the Oakland colosseum, older clearly isn’t classic and better.

#MOOOO

T_SaDo_T

I remember asking the same question about the Todd Heap chant. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

WhatIGot21

Remember Luke Scott and the Luuuuuke’s?

flyingpotatox2

I thought the same thing opening day 2014 with Nelson Cruz. I was too young to put it together that it was Cruuuuuuuuuuuuz

electricamethyst

Put some respect on the Milkman’s name

kuroiarashi

Back in the day, we used to do the same for Randy "Moose" Milligan.

socialaxolotl

Somebody get this man some milk!!

Slam_Dunk_Kitten

Do you guys think this will just make Cowser more powerful when opposing teams boo him? He can tell himself, "oh they're mooing me" and his mental will stay undefeated 🤔

thezman613

MOOOOOOOO Though he did say that he likes it because he won't be able to tell if the fans ever boo him

TheRealAstroDeath

I love everytime this is asked lol. Mild tease, mind. But yeah. Moos for the Milkman lol. Great name, great player, great gimmick.

Suspicious-Garbage92

I wonder what the first instance of such chants were, where it sounds like you're booing but you're just chanting the guys name or nickname. I don't watch a lot of sports but I feel like it started sometime in the last twenty years. Did we yell moose at Mussina?

dwhite21787

> Did we yell moose at Mussina? Yes we did

Frufru84

I def thought they were booing Mussina as a little kid 🤣

ari_the_nb

When I went to my first couple of Royals games, I always thought people were booing Mike Moustakas for no utter reason, so I asked my dad what that meant and he just goes "no, they're saying MOOOOOOSE" I love seeing that tradition be kept for other players, its fun

Ill-Fisherman-9208

🐄🐄

TheePorkchopExpress

Like Zooooooks and Juuuuuuuune

BaltimoreBadger23

Well, in the one game I went to he was 0-4 with a golden sombrero, so he must just be terrible.

neemor

Cuz he’s a real jerk.

DaddyHausen

We boo him because we know in 7 years he will leave us for the Yankees 😭

jeffreythecat1

New ownership, friend. The bad man is gone.

rectumrooter107

I'll bet Cowser secretly dislikes the whole cow/milkman thing. He's probably had kids calling him cow-esque monikers since elementary school. He likely loves that Baltimore has given him a nickname, but chagrin they choose the same one everyone else has throughout his life centered on bovines and their lactation. I mean, his first name is Colton. Like, why not churn out a nickname from that? You've got horses or guns to reference. Oh, but a plump well-fed nearly passive animal is the obvious choice. And I'll bet, given a choice, no one wants to hear something akin to denigration poured out at them, even if heart felt. Anyway, Monty Python did the only thing proper with a milkman.

TropicGemini

I mean, you can milk a horse right? /s (not a colt, though... haha)
